This is a hidden gem that we lucked upon during our drive north from VA to NH. It's a very small place. It's so small you'd have to step outside to change your mind what you want to eat. No tables, just seats at a bar along the front windows.
The service was warm, friendly, and prompt. The prices were reasonable. The burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes were all FANTASTIC. Loved it! What a treat! I love it when we find little hole-in-the-wall unique places like this to eat on road trips. This would be someplace I would go out of my way to go back to on a future road trip.
What a pleasant surprise to find this cook to order gourmet burger joint right off I95 in Greenwich, CT. Finally a burger place that says all their burgers are cooked to medium rare unless otherwise directed, finally someone that does it right. The juicy burger came on toasted white bread, you choose the condiments, special sauce etc. The fries came crisp and hot and I washed it down with a 5 star chocolate milkshake! I will be back.

Definitely one of the best burger places there is out there! I'm a classic burger kind of person… beef patty with all the "little fixins" (tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions and hot peppers)… the crunch of the fresh veggies are so refreshing on this burger – it's amazing!
Love that they also serve it on toast instead of a bun!
Onion rings and sweet potato tots are also really good!
Milkshakes are very thick and yummy, but definitely too much to have with the burger too! It needs to be shared!
best service, best fries, delicious burgers and bomb-diggity shakes. right off of 95 so ideal for a roadtrip pit-stop!
I was looking forward to trying out the Greenwich location since I'm a fan of the Darien location. I was impressed that this location received even higher praise than the Darien location so I was expecting a knockout experience here. Sadly, I won't be returning here. The customer service was awful. We were ignored upon entering while the staff chatted it up with people who had already ordered. It was as if we were invisible! After 5 minutes or so of waiting for their conversation to cease we walked up to the counter and gave our order. That's right- no one actually asked us if we'd like to order. After a few eye rolls from the person taking our order, we sat at the benches and waited for our food. The environment wasn't welcoming but we were hungry and had faith that at least our food would be good. The onion rings were burnt nearly to the point of being inedible, but the burgers were delicious! I was very pleased with the fresh tomato and lettuce and the burgers were perfectly cooked to medium rare.
I won't ever be returning here and can't wait to have another naughty, cheat meal at the location in Darien Darien has way more options and a better attitude. Customer service is so important and this location is seriously lacking in that department.
This was a great find, which I will mention…I could not find on the yelp app for android but no problem with the apple.
Had the buffalo chicken sandwich with hot peppers and a coffee shake. Everything was made to order hot and super tasty. I also had the fries which were really good.
This is a must if your in the area.
If you crave the following:
1) food so greasy it seeps through the bag
2) juicy meat patties that are high in fat content
3)prefer buttered toast instead of a bun
4) delicious ice cream shakes(non-hand dipped)
5)incredible fries
This is the right spot for you. If you go here you MUST get the sweet potato tots. They are the best that I've ever had. It's a small place, so don't expect seating space for a football team. Parking is easy and it's easy to get to from 95.
Burgers Shakes & Fries never fails. I was on a time crunch and called my order in. I was told my order was going to be ready in about 15 minutes. I was in the mood for a Chicken Sandwich and a Strawberry Shake- Das It !!
I made a mad dash to BSF, I waited a few minutes and while I was there, I noticed ( what I thought were) chocolate chip cookies, the owner quickly mentioned that they were Coconut- Chocolate Chip Cookies, i decided on trying- why not?
BSF is a quaint Burger joint with some pizzazz. Menu items are unique And like no other, shakes…omg. I always get their chicken sandwich (I don't eat beef). The chicken is nicely sliced and cooked then placed on 2 toasted, freaking buttery sliced bread.
Parking I've heard might get a little fuzzy, but the few times I've been here, I've dodged the heavy crowds and make it there by 12:15ish.
Never a miss with me. Staff is great by the way…
