  1. Really bland, non-impressive Indian food for takeout although the portions are rather large.  Om is way better!

  2. Decent food and great service. I ordered chicken Dopiaza which came with pillow rice. I asked it to be very hot and it was spot on. My wide ordered chicken saag, medium spiced and it was also very nice but not spicy at all but perhaps it was because I ate extra spicy to begin with! We also ordered one garlic bread which was very nice and two poppadoms, that came with awesome chutneys although we felt the onion in one of the chutneys wasn't really fresh. Service was great with caveat that when we asked for the check, it took sometime until we got it and until the waiter collected the payment. Overall a pleasant experience with minor issues that can be easily addressed by the restaurant.

  3. Excellent delivery service and food.

Ordered dal tadka (yellow yentils) and puri chaat – both excellent. As well as the garlic naan. Full container m, very generous portion of  dal and it was delicious.

I am pretty particular about puri chat and theirs is wonderful, a great balance of chick peas, crunch, sweet sauce with a bit of a kick.

Food was delivered in less than a half hour.

  4. This is one of the tastiest Indian restaurants I've been to in a long time.

It's a quiet little place. We tried their lamb biryani, some veggie samosas, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and then some mild tomato chicken dish for my niece (the latter was just okay to me but my niece enjoyed it). It was way too much food, but I'm glad I tried it all.

The lamb biryani was fantastic; nice chunks of lamb and flavorful rice. I was scarfing it down even after I was full. It's something I will honestly regret not being able to have on a regular basis. The chicken tikka masala was good; saucy, with a decent amount of meat. The naan was fresh and garlicky, and the samosas were plump and crisp.

Service was attentive and nice. Got to sit next to some crazy lady at the next table, so that was fun. Gotta love NYC.
