  1. I stayed at the Bentley while I was in New York two weeks ago and only visited Prime one evening during my stay there. I should've been there every night for dinner! The views are spectacular! Such an amazing view of the Upper East Side. I was seated outdoors and ordered their chocolate cake alongside a chocolate martini. Both were excellent choices and a perfect nightcap before I retired. I would love to come back.

  2. Rooftop with Absolutely Incredible views and wonderful service. Everything is kosher.

I was wow-Ed by the views of the east river, upper east side and the 59th street bridge. I have been to a number of rooftops but have never been to one so close to a bridge. Fascinating to watch all the traffic in every direction across the bridge and on the streets below.

The ambiance and seating outside is fabulous for dinners, nice booths with comfortable  seating. We arrived around 10pm on a Monday and hardly anyone was at the rooftop which was great.

Unfortunately the kitchen closed at 10, so we could not order dinner when we arrived. But we ordered a chocolate dessert and a fruit platter; and both were incredibly presented and delicious. The fruit plate was huge.

Everything – food and drinks- are kosher. That could be a major plus for some; however I do not need kosher food and the disappointment for me was the drinks I ordered tasted horrible. I ordered a specialty drink off their menu with Mezcel instead of another alcohol and the kosher  version of Mezcel was horrible and did not taste smoky. When I thought they forgot to use Mezcel and sent it back they added more so the smell and taste was like a strong tequila but not Mezcel.  I tried to order an old fashioned instead and the kosher version tasted and looked like red kool aid, not anything like an old fashioned. Next time I would ask what drinks they recommend that are good for someone who does not have a a "kosher palate."

Thru all the above the servers were extremely attentive and friendly, and accommodating.

Highly recommend with a date or friends for the outstanding views, but order drinks aware of the kosher flavor differences.

  3. The best part of this restaurant is the magnificent view that you get, regardless where you sit, should it be on the open balcony or on the upper level near the big windows facing the bridge.
The service though is not that great, I was there with my wife and waited for about 10 minutes to be seated – Regardless of the fact that we had made reservations in advance – and when finally seated it took for the waiter over 20 minutes to bring us the wine menu which happens to be on a pretty cool tablet with a nice selection of wines and liquors to choose from.
The food however was really delicious (and almost worth the overpricing) and if I would ever come back it would really be for the food but not for the service.

  4. Pros
    The hotel…. Amazing
    The view…. Breathtaking
Oh and the water was good

    Cons
The food ridiculously expensive. Now I don't mind food that's expensive,  but when it doesn't taste like anything great and when the service sucks it pisses me off.
As a former server I know bad service and I'm pretty easy going because Iv been in those shoes.  The server had NO knowledge about the sushi. And she brought me the WRONG  one. Now this wouldn't be a problem if she would have came back to check how the food was. She never came back. In fact I saw her chatting it up with another server.  So I sat there with untouched sushi and mediocre steak for almost 30 min. I asked another server to help us and got ignored.  NEVER GO

  5. Ate here last night with my boyfriend and his friend. My boyfriend and I do not keep kosher, however, his friend does. Kosher, or not, the food was great. My boyfriend and I shared the beet salad. It was super fresh and had tons of beets. His friend and himself also shared the popcorn chicken, to which, they said was super delicious. My boyfriend and I each had the filet mignon served with mushrooms–cooked perfectly. I had a side of roasted cauliflower (which I could not stop eating) and my boyfriend had a side of mashed potatoes. His friend had the steak special with crunchy onion strings on top and a side of roasted potatoes. We enjoyed all components of the meal. The view of the city was spectacular an service was good. The only aspect of the meal that was not to my likings was the wine, but, "to each and his own." I would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to Kosher and non Kosher eaters alike.
