Starbucks

“Other Starbucks should have to come here for training (I'm talking about you, SBux across from 12 Metrotech).”

“I go here instead of the Court Street Starbucks — here it's cleaner, less crowded, easier to get a seat, and enough outlets for everyone.”

“I should add that compared to others in the area, the layout is very comfortable though probably not as big as some of the others (but bigger than the always crowded one at Polytechnic U.).”

  1. I frequented this Sbux location just about every morning while on vacay. Service was always great and consistent, and my drinks were made the way I like them.

  2. Small and quaint. A few customers was present with only one set of customers taking up seating by the window. The other two or three tables were uninhabited. I ordered my two additional pumps for my caramel brulee and waited patiently. When I got my drink it was one pump shy of what I asked for which made it stronger but I wasn't upset. I was leisurely walking around downtown Brooklyn enjoying my night with my cup of brew.

  3. Very small. The barista told me she loved my hat. Ordered a small hot white chocolate to go. Very friendly customer service. I rarely frequent Starbucks, but I really like this one.

  4. After trekking through the wet, the sales, the people, the hustle and bustle walking into this SB feels like I've found a safe haven. *sighs*

So! My coffee that usually cost $2.12 in the city is $1.96 here. I got the answer today though, apparently the city is more expensive because arrrmmm it's the city? To me it sounds more like "get those tourist! " hehehehehe.

Anyhooooo, it's clean and peaceful in here and the coffee and slightly sweet pastry smell is divine. They've even got a Bob Marley album playing (one baristas has a lovely voice, softly singing along as he serves).

It's a sweet vibe up inna here MON.  Ima be here a bit (in case anyone wanted to find me- just saying)

From my home to yours….Feliz Navidad!
    Happy Holidays!
    Blessed Kwanzaa!
    …and all that great stuff!

The End. (Well I'm back to say I removed a star because there's no toilet….bummer).

  5. I love this location after shopping; I can charge my phone and have a cup of tea. It isn't as cozy as some locations because there's no couches. But the music is awesome and they've recently added wireless charging ports at each table for smart phones.

  6. Perfect location to stop in and warmup after light shopping down Fulton or when I'm on my way to class. Walking distance to all the 4 colleges in the area. There are wireless charging stations on site to juice up while you sip. Friendly, courteous and personal staff who recognize their frequent customers. My beverages are always made perfectly.

Everything was good until I saw a roach on the drink pick up counter….

  7. Can you have a Starbucks that's your Starbucks when you're away from home?  If so, this is my side Starbucks.

I have many memories (Im dead serious now) of yawning mornings drinking iced venti something at the little stools and counter seats at the window overlooking the Fulton street mall.  I've come here after shopping, before shopping – after jogging, before jogging.  Apparently they have phone charging stations now?  Its usually not too crowded and I can get a seat. Staff is fast and reasonably friendly.

    I'm a fan!

  8. Not impressed. For a location so central, so close to downtown and the subway, they should get all the basics right.

First and most importantly, it's way too fucking cold. They crank up the A/C to insane levels.. I would guess 67 degrees or lower, which is not a comfortable indoor temperature (70 would be better). When I asked the staff member about it she said she was "not the right person to ask about it" because she didn't feel cold. What am I supposed to do with that? Conduct a random sample of the other employees and petition for a redress of grievances? Responses including "I'm not allowed adjust the thermostat," "I'll let you speak with a manager," and "I recommend trying a different location" would have helped solve my problem.

Not a helpful response. The employee deflected my question rather than taking responsibility.

I left because my hands were literally numbing up.

There seem to be quite a few incidents where customers quarrel with staff.. and the staff didn't seem to handle it particularly well.. usually Starbucks will fix up your drink, no questions asked, but the staff seemed a little sassy.

There are a few tables, and a bar by the window, but not enough for a busy downtown location.
