“I had the house 5 Napkin Burger and it was 10 ounces of beefy goodness topped with caramelized onions and cheese accented with rosemary aioli.”

“Who knew a burger joint could make the best eggs I've had from a restaurant?!”

“Every component of the burger worked and the sweet potato fries were the perfect accompaniment.”

  1. I came here with a friend for happy hour and we went with the intention of sitting outside, but the happy hour is only at the bar and high top tables so we moved over to the bar. Happy hour is $2 sliders (3 oz burgers), $4 drafts, $5 glasses of wine, and $5 cosmos.

I got the 5 Napkin Original slider, the spicy cheddar, and the turkey slider. I liked all of them, but I have to say that the Original slider was by far my favorite! I especially loved the rosemary aioli on it. The spicy cheddar slider was good, and not too spicy. The turkey burger was surprisingly moist, as most turkey burgers I have tend to be pretty dry.

    Definitely recommend!

  2. I was reccommended this hamburger chain in Miami several times. I expected this to be great, and somehow it was disappointing…
The place was good, spatious, good level of noise, clean and not so bright but not dark. I didn`t like the waitress, she was coming every 10 minutes interrumpting our conversation and dinnertime and making silly jokes, takin a huge time to ask us things and trying to force us to order dessert. I think waiters should respect the privacy and is not necessary to overwhelm the clients when they are eating :/…
we chose a burger bowl to try something different, the regular 5 napkins burger, and the turkey one which comes with mozzarella. The regular hamburger was okay, nothing special there. It was juicy but somehow it lacked taste, I liked the rosemary oil because it gave something special to the taste, but without that the meat was tasteless… the turkey one, on the other hand, was outstanding, very tender, tasty, great selection of ingredients and bread, I was surprised. The bowl was extremely sad, the hamburger was think and dry, and the salad was loaded with oil.
We chose fries and avocado hummus to share, which was good, especially the pita bread crumbs.
In conclusion, just another hamburger restaurant, it didn`t gave me a strong impression. I think meat is the key of hamburger, if it lacks taste and it`s dry… no matter what else you put there.

  3. They have a great happy hour. 50 cent wings, $2 sliders, $5 Cosmos and glasses of wine. The sliders were delicious and the wings were mediocre. The service was extremely slow, but this could have been because I sat on the patio. I would definitely go back again, but I would request a different server.

  4. As many times as I've been here I check in maybe once in a Blue Moon, but as little as I check in, this place is my New Castle. The happy hour here is the best with all my friends, like Sam, Adam, and company. When I come in I usually order a couple sliders and they must cook it on a hot Firestone because they come out fresh and juicy! The Rosemary aioli on the sliders pairs perfectly with the hot wings, all cheap, yummy, and absolutely Stella! (Yeah that ones a bit of a stretch)

Food is always great! Beer for only 5$ is always enjoyable (during happy hour). This place is always there when I need it with the cheap sliders and beer with wings. It may be dark inside but really their happy hour is a gem!!

  5. After lots of people recommending we visit this place whilst in NYC I wasn't blown away by the food. The burgers are pretty average. I opted for the B.B.L.T and the toppings made up for an otherwise bland burger patty. The sides were equally average, and the food was pretty pricey compared to other similar style chain restaurants you can get a better burger at.

The only good thing was the bottomless sodas. The service was however excellent and the restaurant itself was nice, very clean and in a good location (we visited the union square location).

Overall, it's fine for a quick lunch or dinner but I probably wouldn't recommend to people visiting NYC as we were as there's tons of other places I would've preferred to try. Go to shake shack instead!

  6. I've always seen this burger joint throughout the city, so I decided it was worth a try. I mean the place was always packed, so it can't be bad right?

Came here for dinner during the weekend and coming from someone who's not into burgers, this place wasn't bad at all. It's definitely an upscale version of a typical burger place. Dimly lit and intimate, this place had great ambience too! Not to mention their fries was really good.

  7. Last week, my boyfriend and I went to 5 Napkin Burger for their 10PM-12AM Happy Hour, and it was nothing short of a fantastic experience! We were seated immediately, which was a major plus, and the food was fantastic. I stayed safe with three of their four sliders: the veggie sliders were the best of the bunch, the turkey meatball sliders were fantastic and the burger was moist, and the beef slider with onions and rosemary aioli was to die for. My boyfriend, on the other hand, got the hand rolls and wings, the latter of which he claims was the "best wings he has ever had". And the prices are SO reasonable!

The only dilemma I had was that service was a bit slow, but as it was the height of happy hour it's a little more understandable.

    I will definitely be back!

  8. Their happy hour deal between 4-7 and again 10-closing is unbeatable. Good selection of "happy hour" food for $2 and drinks $4 & up. I love their spicy cheddar slider & 5 napkin slider. Just found out that they can substitute to lettuce instead of buns. The bartender, Liz, was very charming & awesome! Of course, non happy hour meal is also quite reasonable and good.
