  1. This new establishment has a lot of potential. It's very spacious, is nicely decorated, full bar and has a decent menu.

  2. My Yelp friends the Tasty Ladies recently visited this new restaurant and had positive things to  say, so tonight my brothers and I decided to try it out.

Acri is located a little past Westchester Square in a primarily industrial area, kind of in the middle of nowhere since there are really no retail stores or houses within a few block radius. The restaurant itself is spacious; it has high ceilings, low lighting, and an impressive bar that lines the back wall. The decor is a mix of modern and industrial, though one of the walls was painted bright red with Greek columns on it which I don't think goes with the theme.

The menu contains a number of Greek, Italian, and Latin dishes. We wanted to start with some fried calamari, but they were out so we decided to go with the coconut shrimp instead. It was good – I can tell they "breaded" the coconut themselves; it sat on top of an arugula salad and came with a sweet cherry sauce on the side. My only gripe with it was for $10 it only came with three shrimp. For my main I had the pollo zingara which was chicken breast topped with sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted peppers in a white wine sauce; it came paired with roasted potatoes and mixed veggies.

Our sever and the manager were friendly, and the food was good overall. This place has potential; the menu is a little all over the place and while I like the decor it looks a little unfinished (especially towards the end of the restaurant). With some fine tuning this could be a great place, hopefully the isolated location won't hurt them. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come back here, but I wouldn't be against it.
