  1. NEVER order from here! My boyfriend and I ordered take out from Aki because Seamless said their delivery wait time was 10-20 minutes. Over 40 minutes later, when our food was a no-show, we called Aki to get some feedback on the ETA and they said they couldn't give us an ETA and hung up. Rude.

After some back and forth with Seamless, Aki said our food would be there in 10 minutes and then they "gave our order to the wrong person" (which is impossible because my boyfriend's apartment number was not listed in the order so they'd have to call us to confirm, which they didn't do). Such a scam.

What makes me the most concerned about this whole process was that Seamless gives Aki a 4- star rating but if you look below, nobody's had a positive experience with this place.

  2. This sushi is edible. Oh but you probably wanted something better than that, didn't you? Well you won't find it here! During a meeting at work I found this place on Seamless where it had raving four star reviews.

I wish I would have checked Yelp first. I always check Yelp first.

Like many other one and two star reviews the three sushi special was okay at best. My rolls fell apart and lacked any real flavor. The miso soup was extraordinarily watered down and bland. The best part of my lunch was the salad. What a shame. Never again.

  3. Ordered on seamless (4 star rating) before checking yelp and nearly had a meltdown. I very religiously (probably too much so) rely on yelp so when I saw it was a 2 star I actually thought about canceling my order.

I decided to just take a chance and honestly it wasn't as bad as most of the reviews on here.

I ordered pickup (seems like delivery is their bigger problem). My order said it was ready at 8:13 pm. I walked in at about 8:18 pm and they looked at me like I was an alien. I told them I had a seamless order and then looked around at the 20 seamless bags that were in line to be delivered.

They never said another word to me so i assumed my order wasn't ready and they were preparing it.

About 8-10 minutes later they gave me my order. Meanwhile during that time, I think i heard "new seamless order" about 15-20 times. I literally couldn't believe how many orders they were getting.

I was so nervous about my food making me sick or something that I ended up only eating a bit of it, but what I had did taste good. If I hadn't checked yelp first I certainly wouldn't have been as biased.

Salmon sashimi, a titanic roll and shrimp shumai – all OK. I won't order from here again with all the other sushi options available.

  4. Wanted  to try this restaurant out because the 3 roll combo was so cheap, but you literally get what you pay for.

    the sushi is falling apart…
The rice doesnt even stick on to the seaweed, Feel like theres no difference between the spicy tuna or spicy salmon… never again am I ordering from here.

  5. This place is awful. Delivery said it should take 20-30 minutes. It has been 90 minutes since we ordered. When we called in to ask about the status they talked briefly to us and then hung up.

We called seamless to complain and notify them of the issue. Only then did Aki call us back and apologize for saying that they delivered the food to wrong address.

This place wreaks of scam. Avoid this restaurant like the plague.

  6. if i could give this place no stars, i would.  1 star is too deserving.  i ordered the spicy combo which included spicy jalapeno yellowtail, spicy tuna and spicy salmon.  it came with a miso soup.  i also ordered the age tofu.

the sushi was so disgusting.   the rolls were small and the rice was falling off.   they tried to squish them in a tiny container to fit all three rolls.  fail.  this is the not the bad part.  i could careless if the rolls are small or if the rolls are sloppy.   the rolls looked a little off when i first opened the cover.   they had a gray ish/really pale complexion.  it didn't look too fresh to me and i wasn't sure if i wanted to eat it.  i decided to give it a try anyway.   i ate a few of the pieces and the sushi was disgusting.  it was mushy, really fatty, and had bones.   i know sushi is raw, but this was disgusting.  i don't even know how to describe it.  i am just praying i don't get sick.   since i ordered the spicy combo, you would expect this to be spicy right?   wrong.  none of this was spicy at all.   i don't care if the rolls were spicy, but i care about the freshness of the sushi.   it was so disgusting and i couldn't force myself to eat the rest so i threw the rest out.

don't order from this place.  i just hope i don't get sick.

as for the age tofu, that was ok.  it was a little mushy and i think the tofu wasn't cooked thoroughly either.  i ate a few bites and i threw the rest out too because i really don't want to get sick.

at least the miso soup was okay.

  7. I walked here at noon to get my pick-up at Aki sushi. Though apparently this place was not authentic (opened by Chinese rather than Japanese), they provided pretty decent lunch special deals – with two rolls plus soup and salad at 9.95. It was also pretty fast, so if you are expecting something quick, it was not a bad choice.

  8. I normally avoid sushi restaurants with less than 4 stars reviews on yelp but a mixup on my seamless got me to order here… i ended up getting takeout, and thought it was actually pretty good! and prices were reasonable as well. the seamless orders here are crazy… as i was waiting for my food, the seamless orders came in non stop… so.. no complaints since my sushi rolls were good, i thought the salmon was fresh, and it was not pricey.
