Aura Thai Kitchen

“One and only thing keeping them from 5 stars: I know when I order from here, I have to accept that delivery always takes at least an hour.”

“I have tried some main dishes, and so far, the Pa-Kee-Maow has been my favorite and regular friend rice is also pretty good.”

“If you're in Fort Lee and looking for delivery or take out, this place is fantastic.”

  1. Ahh, Aura, the best Thai place in town! Although not quite as amazing as their predecessor, Little Charm, this place has decent food and an expansive menu with good prices.

I usually order the Tom Kha or Tom Yum soup with tofu, and throw in a side of jasmine rice in to make a hearty meal out of $6. Their soups are good, but a little on the sweet side for my taste, so I add a little soy sauce to balance it out. (Hello, high blood pressure!)

The best thing I've had there yet is the mango salad, it's the kind of dish that made me fall in love with Thai cuisine. Who knew that mango, fresh garlic, cashews and red onion could go so well together? Nom!

As others have stated, this place is TINY, so claustrophobics beware – you may want to order your food to go. I usually order takeout or delivery and am never disappointed by wait times.

Thai food is still the key to my heart, and I'm glad Aura Thai is there to fill it (and my belly, too!)

  2. Formerly Little Charm Thai — the setup, menu and prices are mostly the same. It's pretty much the go to spot in Fort Lee for Thai food — because it is the ONLY Thai spot in Fort Lee. Fortunately, the food is decent.

The restaurant is tiny, with no restroom. Service is usually on point.
Street parking is limited, but there's a metered lot on Gerome Ave.
    Delivery minimum: $15 minimum
My tried and true favorites – Eggplant basil, pad kee maow, tom yum noodle soup, Thai ice coffee. I wasn't a fan of their pad Thai. I found it to be a bit on the dry side.
Otherwise, this place is a solid option.

  3. I thought this place was very solid.  I have done several take outs in the last month or two, ordering different dishes from pad thai to pat see yu to other dishes with meat.  It was very solid for a take out place at a reasonable price.  I have finally found my goto thai for delivery unless something happens in the future.

  4. have been ordering take-out from here almost once every week since it opened, so far this has become my new fav  take- out restaurant in my area.

I highly recommend the chicken satay as appetizer, for $5.95 , you get 5 skewers of chicken satay that grilled to the perfection, they will give you 2 different kinds of sauces, one is peanuts sauce and another is vinaigrette  sauce which complements the chicken satay so well.

I have tried some main dishes, and so far, the Pa-Kee-Maow has been my favorite and regular friend rice is also pretty good. They put chopped chinese broccoli in the fried rice which is not often seen in other place, but  I really like it.  The food from Aura Thai are also not as greasy as other Thai place.

However, I will tell you to avoid Fresh rolls, this dish really disappointed me. The rice noodle they put in the rice wrap are really dry, the roll totally fell apart on my hand while I ate it, it was just not that great.
