  1. sadly downgrading my go to thai lunch spot from a 4 to a 3. in short, the prices got higher and the options / amount of food you get got less. not a great combo. will have to explore other thai lunch deals in the area to decide if this is one is still worth being my go to.

  2. How unfortunate…

I come here often, not out of choice, but because someone else (ahem) is addicted to Thai food and this joint is close to my digs

My first review was lukewarm because I feel the food here is ok/serviceable.  However they also have a big sign outside that says "early bird special 4-6pm" which leads me to believe that when we walk in before 6pm, someone should give us an early bird menu.

I can't tell you how many times I've walked in here, only to sit down and have to fucking ask them to give us the goddamn early bird menu. My last visit was the last time I'm ever setting foot here because, sure enough we walk in and they give us the fucking regular (and more expensive) set menu shit.  After finally getting the early bird menu, we ordered and I was annoyed.

My pad Thai took forever, which makes no sense since the restaurant was fucking empty except for two other people who also waited a long time for the food.

Making thing worse, I could have sworn I heard the familiar beeping sounds of a microwave in the kitchen.  I sure hope it wasn't a microwave, but it doesn't fucking matter since my friends and I won't be coming here again and will opt for another Thai place like Breeze or Viv nearby.

(Oh and I forgot to note – the pad Thai tasted blah.  What made me worry about the whole microwave shit was the fact that I ordered the beef pad Thai and it was unevenly heated.  The noodles were hot, some piece of beef were warm and a couple of pieces were straight up cold.  That is NOT good).

Adios Bangkok house.  If the stupid early bird menu bait and switch game didn't piss me off enough after countless visits, the shitty food put me off for good.

  3. I really enjoy coming here.

My friends came here quite a few times and enjoyed the service and the drinks. They have happy hour specials between four and seven and a good selection on their drink menu.

The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is typical of what you'd expect from a Thai place. It's location is easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled when walking down the block. The pricing is great especially if you come here during their lunch special between the hours of 12 and four last time I checked.

I had the Spring rolls for appetizers and for my main meal I had the shrimp with garlic sauce and vegetables with white rice which is my favorite dish because it's so delicious. My friend had the pad Thai and raved about it. For dessert we had the fried ice cream and it was incredible, the presentation was gorgeous.

The atmosphere is really chill and perfect for a romantic evening but also great for friends who want to chill.

Whenever I'm in the area and in the mood for Thai, I make this my go to spot.

  4. 3.5 stars

The papaya salad set my mouth on fire. The fried rice was pretty good, and I enjoyed my eggplant basil dish.

  5. This is a very good Thai restaurant in the neighborhood, and conveniently located on restaurant row.  I've only eaten here twice for lunch, but it was enough to see that the food is well-made, and the ambiance inside is fun and laid-back.  It was nice to hang out here with coworkers for a quick lunch, it gets crowded around 1pm but doesn't get too loud.  Delicious Thai Iced Tea!

  6. Came here with friends to get out of the pouring rain. I needed a drink stat, and the waiter suggested the straw jing. Trust me if you are into sweet drinks like I am, get this drink. Delicious and potent. I had two before cutting myself off.
I also ordered the chicken satay which was delicious.
The only downside is that they brought our food out a bit slow. We were on a time schedule so we were feeling a bit rushed when eating. But will definitely comeback when I'm in town and don't have much to do.

  7. Went in here for their lunch special. They have two specials; one with the staple dishes, Thai fried rice, pineapple fried rice, etc(~$8), and another with some more exquisite dishes …I don't remember them 🙁 (~$9). The special gives you one choice of soup, dumpling, or spring rolls as the starter, one entree, and a dessert. Don't be fooled by that last part. It's just a souffle cup with one lychee (fresh and yummy though) and two little pineapple squares. T'was measely but fresh. Lol. Wasn't expecting it though, so I won't complain. Much.

For my starter, I had the spring roll and salad with peanut sauce and some clear sweet tangy syrup type sauce. Loved it. Everything was nice and flavorful. I would get the spring rolls again.

For my entree, I had Thai fried rice, extra spicy with vegetables and tofu. I highly recommend NOT getting the tofu. Very very bland, spongey, and rubbery. But the rice stands among the better fried rice I've had in many Thai restaurants. All ingredients seemed very fresh and the flavor was great!

Doesn't seem like a bad place.. all that for a mere 10 bucks all together isn't a bad choice. I'd go back for the Thai fried rice though. And the spring rolls.

  8. It's a pretty normal Thai place – nothing really out of the ordinary in either a good or bad direction.  Solid, tasty, but won't stick out from the crowd.

They've got a similar lunch special and dinner prix fixe to most Thai places.  Value is pretty good.  Cheap drinks dinner happy hour.

Food (again) is pretty normal and good.  Curries are decent, Pad Thai is good, chicken coconut soup is very tasty.  Some of the other noodle dishes like Pad See Ew are pretty tasty.
