  1. Was looking forward to checking this place out all week since I was craving Seolleong tang and seafood pancake.

Parking was easy enough. They have a small lot directly in front, but I wouldn't count on that because it's way too small considering the seating capacity of the restaurant. Not to worry though, there's still plenty of street parking available up and down the block.

Once inside, the place was well lit and spacious. My friend and I got seated at a table big enough for 4 people. Looking around, the place seemed to be packed with people from a tour or perhaps an early dinner rush from people who were taking the king spa shuttle. It was literally packed within 10 minutes after 7 pm.

Service was quick and efficient. Someone checked on us and got our order within 5 minutes of sitting down. We both ordered the namesake Seolleong tang as well as the seafood pancake to share.  The food came out extremely fast – within 5~10 minutes of ordering.

The food was a bit disappointing…

The seafood pancake came first. In the many times I have ordered seafood pancakes at all the different places, I have never had one with so much scallion. The ratio was way off. The seafood was present, but just with an overwhelming amount of scallion. I'm pretty sure I hit my fiber quota for the week after just two slices.

Onto the soup. The broth was just so so… It wasn't as deep and flavorful as I hoped. If you've got a particular dish incorporated into the name of your business, I am going to expect it to stand out. I needed to add some salt for some flavor. The meat was pretty tough though as well. Portion was good, but it just wasn't satisfying for me in the end…

Anyway, the craving continues…  May come back in a month or two to try this place out again…

  2. I am not Korean but I do love good food. Went here with a Korean couple and they said it was authentic. Two thumbs up! I will be back.

Some things that lured us in was their big space so you never have to wait for a table, BYOB and private parking lot in front. If you are familiar with Palisades Park, it is majority street parking so usually it is hard to find a spot during dinner prime time hours.

They have a bunch of long tables so it would be great to bring a large group of people here and try everything on the menu. Don't forget the soju, wine and beer! But if you do there is a liquor store adjacent to it.

They do offer BBQ but it is cooked in the kitchen then brought out. I enjoyed the pork kalbi over the beef kalbi. Seafood scallion pancake was huge and my favorite dish of the night. Soups also had great flavor.

Service was very friendly and helpful. They were attentive and checked up on us. No reason to not return!
