  1. Great Seamless option, but a little overpriced. It also took almost an hour to deliver, which my order definitely didn't warrant considering I didn't even get a sandwich.

I ordered the SOS Salad which I HIGHLY recommend – I usually never eat kale, but the dressing and mixed nuts and cranberries made it very tasty. It was big and filling enough for dinner but also really healthy. I also got the tomato soup, and I was a little annoyed at how watery it was – definitely not what I was expecting from the number one order on the site. Kind of a waste of $5 on that end.

  2. City Sandwich serves pretty tasty sandwiches and uses a lot of fresh ingredients.  Their prices are reasonable and I would recommend it if you are looking for a sandwich in Hell's Kitchen.  I haven't tried any of their salads yet, though.

I had read a NY Magazine article which said it's better to stick with the simpler options because some of the more complex servings overreach, so we went with the Todd and then branched out just a little bit more with the Dave.  The Todd is a take on a BLT, but instead of bacon, smoked Portuguese Pancetta is used. Like any good BLT, the raw tomato played off the salty, fatty pancetta really well, and the honey dijon-yogurt sauce cooled everything off.  I'll say I didn't get much dijon flavor, but I enjoyed the sauce so I didn't really care.  Lastly, the bread was nice and crunchy as it should be.  For the Dave, right off the bat I noticed how the peperoncino added just the right amount of heat to the sandwich.  Furthermore, the sandwich wasn't too greasy, although the fresh sausage was a touch dry (not too much, though).  The Dave was was pretty good, but I definitely liked the Todd more.

I'm a fan – especially in a part of the city that struggles with just about any type of food that isn't Thai – and plan to try more of their offerings.

  3. A mighty awesome sandwich shop! Came here to grab a quick bite before a show at nearby St. Clement's Theater and it did not disappoint.

There's only 6 small tables inside this casual establishment so it's definitely more of a grab and go spot. Menu is displayed on the right, color coded by meat, non-meat, and 'with egg' options, along with mouthwatering photographs of the said artisan sandwiches. One will cost you roughly $10-12, pretty steep but since fresh, quality ingredients are highlighted.. fine.

No issues with service — the server was pleasant and helpful. I decided on the Lucy(steamed shrimp, watercress, tomato, onions, honey basil yogurt sauce). My sandwich was brought to me along with my free bite size panna cotta from check in about 10 minutes after I ordered. Anyways, the Lucy was delicious! The shrimp was chilled but so succulent and the watercress was fresh and crisp. I've never had watercress in a sandwich —  I'm a fan! They forgot the onions but whatever. The honey basil yogurt sauce was incredible — thin but sweet and refreshing — it definitely tied the whole thing together.

Panna cotta was also delightful. I'm not normally a fan of panna cotta but this was so creamy and smooth, with a sweet berry puree on top. I'd definitely order a full size next time, since there will be. Eager to try some of the other wonderful looking sandwiches.

  4. I finally decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. I work in the area and did my usual I called and ordered for me to pickup at the store.  The girl on the phone was pleasant and took my order. I had the MmmEatballs my friend had the Guida(Tuna). The tuna was ok. It was weird trying to pronounce my sandwich over the phone and I got confused and said " I would like the Eat my Balls Mmm sandwich"

The GOOD: Nonetheless My MmmEatballs sandwich was really good. The meatballs tasted fresh+tasty and  unlike other meatball subs wasnt smothered in sauce. The bread was good too as was the melted mozzarella.  I will order from here again for the Mmeatballs  or their other meat sandwiches. Ordering was simple efficient and they have a nice and pleasant staff. Pricing is $10-12 for sandwiches. Not bad for the area.

  5. Today I had the LGTB sandwich. It was delicious, I really loved the goat cheese in it.
This shop seems more gourmet than most in the area. A welcome addition

To all my conservative friends: please give a chance to the LGTB sandwich. I know it looks gross to you, but who knows, you might end up enjoying it 😉

  6. Came here after checking out some photos on yelp and really really wanted the delicious crusty bread I was seeing.

Did not realize the Portuguese influence on the menu until I arrived and checked things out. Got the Dave, full of spicy crumbled sausage, kale, melted mozz and topped with some spicy olive oil all served on a chewy awesome white roll. Was so good but also on the expensive side. My fancy organic bottle of ice tea and sandwich were $15.

  7. This place is very good however I think that it is very dependent on what sandwich you get. The bacon sandwich is apparently their favorite which I probably should have ordered but the roast beef was delicious. The ingredients are very fresh and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making sure you enjoy every bite. The owner is incredibly friendly and brought out a sauce for the sandwich as he recommended to try it with that. If you're in the area and want a good sandwich this is a good place to go

  8. Tiny understated place. Amazing sandwiches and service. Server asked me if it was my first time and proceeded to patiently explain every item of the menu, ask me if I ate meat/was vegan, etc. The service makes up for the decor, which is very plain and blah.

I had the special of the day which had an amazing pancetta and I don't remember what else. All I remember was everything tasted heavenly and melted in my mouth.
