  1. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Met a friend here for lunch  during the snow storm. We were seated right away (surprising because the space is pretty small and they get a lot of traffic from bloomies shoppers). Service was good. Enjoyed the oldies music playing.

    On to the food

My friend ordered an Arnold Palmer- $6! This is where I'm docking a star. Very overpriced in all categories. She also ordered the veggie burger which was basically served on two thin pita bread slices. The burger itself looked good although she was a bit disappointed that it had some curry flavor that she was not expecting. Came with a side salad that was boring lettuce with a good dressing. I ordered the turkey club BLT. REALLY GOOD. Toasted bread, melted cheese with some strawberry mayo that was a wonderful surprise. Turkey was honey turkey and very tasty- bacon was a bit too crispy. Came with homemade potato chips which I changed for fries, which were nothing to write about. Typical frozen fries.

Overall overpriced but good food, great location.

  2. This review is based solely on the dessert I had there.

LORD HAVE MERCY. Had the 10 layer chocolate cake, a coffee and a big glass of milk. I'm weird and need milk with my desserts. Lay off me. I'm starving.

Now let me preface with I am not a sweet tooth gal. I love savory foods. Not sweet. But LORDAY. That cake is so banging. So banging. I made sweet passionate love to it. I'm pretty sure I have diabetes now, but totally worth it.

  3. This review is purely for the now famous 10 Layer chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and gold leaf. I came in just to try this cake after seeing it on social media. You can sit down and eat the cake, or get a slice to take away as I did. The presentation of the takeaway slice is nowhere near as beautiful as the slice shown on social media when served in the restaurant, but still looked nice. The cake itself was great. The flavor wasn't as intensely chocolatey as I like but was really wonderful. Moist cake with delicious chocolate ganache on top and a chocolate buttercream frosting between the layers. There were several dark chocolate balls dipped in gold leaf on top. The cake is worth getting but I would sit down and order it as opposed to getting a take away slice. I also called ahead to double check if they had it because they don't make it every day apparently.

  4. Came here for a late lunch on a weekday and felt like in heaven ordering the famous truffle fries and tuba tartare.
The fries exceeded all expectations I had, the flavour is simply superb! The tartare came in delicious little pastry cups with a wonderful hint of roasted garlic.

  5. Awesome place for lunch
Went a month or so ago for lunch on the weekend and received great service. It didn't hurt that my guest was a regular and knew the hostess and waitstaff. Ha!
    The mimosa was flowing.
We shared "bacon on a string", yummers and I had a Cobb salad. Everything was awesome. I took a peek at the bill and it was quite expensive but I was treated 😉
    I will def be back

  6. First of all, I am a big fan of David Burke restaurants and their ambiance. My daughter wanted my wife and me to meet her for lunch near Bloomingdales. Being that we are both fans of David Burke restaurants, we wandered into his restaurant in Bloomingdales. Despite its lackluster surroundings, their 'on the run" menu selections were great choices. Unfortunately, we all ordered the same dish which was the Veggie Burger. My daughter was too busy texting while eating to comment about the dish; my wife loved it, but chose not to eat the bun since she devoured the Pop over Bread; I chose to eat every bite and enjoyed it immensely. When you think Veggie Burger, you hope that it will not be dry and tasteless. David Burke finds a way to achieve the right balance of moisture and texture by obviously knowing how to combine the right mix of seeds, nuts and vegetables to mash and which ones to leave whole. Looking forward to trying their Fish Taco's next.

  7. Great new menu changes! I was impressed that they finally decided to add healthier options and veg options to menu. The veggie burger is great, the skinny cesar salad is lite, tomato soup is always rich and delish, and loved the marinated tofu salad. The tofu salad has a kick of spice and is definitely something new and interesting. Great lunch spot finally has less fattening options!!

  8. I wouldnt  go here on purpose. There are really no redeeming qualities that I could see.  Crazy expensive. Pretty horrible decor, white on white on white and the service was shoddy at best.  I guess tourist go here because they dont know where else to go. But if you have a choice, find a different place.  Food was gross. Drinks were 20 bucks each.  Just a bad experience.
