  1. I had Dig Inn for the first time last week and I really enjoyed it! It is a change from all the unhealthy lunch options around my office. I got the salmon with pesto sauce, brown rice, broccoli, and squash. It was about $13 but it was a decent size, healthy, and delicious. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other healthy options!

I went at noon and there wasn't a line yet but by 12:15 the line was out the door!

  2. The first Dig Inn I've been to and probably the best. I used to work a block away and would come here all the time. Lunch time rush happens from 12-1:30, so come before or after to beat/avoid the crowd. But even if there's long winding line inside, the employees know what they're doing and are super efficient.

I typically get the veggie platter because I feel like 1) they don't give enough protein when you order it and 2) the veggies taste freaking amazing. I usually get it on top of farro because brown rice just lacks sometimes.

I've gotten a juice before but it takes a while because eveyone in the back is busy (packing delivery orders). Aside from that, the juice was good!

There is limited seating here, but since most people take it to-go, you can usually snag a table.

  3. I tried Dig Inn last week for lunch. I needed another option other than Chipotle or Au Bon Pain. I went at 1:30PM, at the end of lunch rush. Even so, there was a fairly long line. Don't be intimidated with the long lines, just like Chipotle, it moves quickly.

Very basic, you choose a base, protein, 2 sides and toppings/sauce if you want. I got a small, thinking it would be enough for my hunger. But it filled me, though I could have eaten more. Maybe next time I'll get a large.

If you're watching what you eat and how much you eat, this might be a good option. The food taste great and flavorful. I got the charred chicken, brussels sprout and sweet potatoes. The brussels sprouts had orange peel, which kind of made it bitter. It was an interesting surprised. I had mixed feelings if I liked it.

My only complaint is that they don't actually fill the plates as full as I've seen them here on yelp. Wished they filled it up more. Especially if it was like $11.

Overall, it was good. I will come back.

  4. I would always pass by this place on my way to Potbelly's, and I finally gave this place a try – and was happy I did!

The food itself is delicious, and it's an added bonus that majority of these are healthy options. The charred chicken is definitely my fave protein, and I always get farro (which I have no idea what it is, but it's good, so whatever!). The upstate mac, while not exactly considered healthy, is really yummy and often hard to resist when I come in starving. I also like their brussel sprouts which is amazing considering I usually hate eating them.

I took 2 stars off for a couple reasons:
    – The price is about $10 bucks, which is pricy considering that the portions aren't exactly very generous here (it almost makes the employees seem stingy!)
    – On that note, service is lightening fast here during lunch time, but I'm not sure if that's necessarily a good thing because the servers expect you to know exactly what you want, right away…without even getting to see what looks good! It felt like I was on a human conveyor belt!

  5. I do love this place, but I'm giving 3 stars because they need to re-evaluate their pick-up system.  Every time I've ordered online & picked up my lunch, I've awkwardly lingered in front of their kitchen staff.  People acknowledge you, but won't help you right away because they're working on other things.  The takeout bags are sitting on a wire shelving unit right in front of you, but you can't just lean over & see which one is yours, right?  That would be rude, right?  But it would also be rude to acknowledge a person standing in front of you & do absolutely nothing about it….right?
It seems like the regulars give zero craps, as a few people who came in after me leaned over the window & started reading the bags, which flustered the staff into helping them.  I'll have to try that next time, because last time my order was just hangin' out for 10 minutes.  I saw it on the shelf, I waited for someone to simply hand it to me.. and then I had to microwave it when I got back to my office.

OTHERWISE – it's a little bit pricey, yes, but you get a TON of well-seasoned, scrumptious food that's pretty dang good for you.  You pick a grain, some veggies, & a protein if desired, and you have a satisfying meal.  I definitely recommend stopping by & giving it a try!

  6. Desperate for something quick and heathy, we almost walked in to Potbelly's only to see the hustle and bustle next door at Dig Inn.

The Kale Caesar Salad and Grilled Flank Steak were the stars of the night!

    Perfect guilt free lunch!

  7. After hearing several co-workers speak so highly of this restaurant, I finally decided to try it out the one day I didn't bring lunch. They use the same container for a large and small order. They supposedly give you more if you order the large. Anyway, I decided to order a large and chose the charred chicken, citrus salad, kale squash, butternut squash. The chicken was juicy and tender and the citrus salad was refreshing. Not a bad option if you work around the area.

  8. What I dug was the amount of food for the price and a couple other things, but there were a few things I didn't dig. The line was very long, but quick; maybe too quick. Even though the website says their are large and small plates, they were only offering one size and the person in front of me asked for small and was rudely informed by the worker that there was only one size. The menu tells you to pick your meat first, but the line workers expect you to know what you will have your meat on first (greens, faro or brown rice) and she, the person there today, isn't very happy if you don't know what you want or are not prompt enough with giving her your order. She seemed to care more about being quick than being polite. Maybe she gets in trouble for not being fast enough, I don't know but if so then things should change. When the pair of men in front of me didn't pay attention to her quick enough she sighed and said something in another language to the worker next to her.
I picked the grilled organic tofu on the faro with butternut squash and my two sides were the brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. The tofu was seasoned and grilled well. The faro was cooked well, but there was something in the seasoning that was off, but I can't put my tastebuds on it. I still liked it and would have it again. The butternut squash was soft, cubed and tasty. The brussel sprouts were nicely seasoned, cooked just the right amount and sliced into pieces. The mac and cheese was good, but not great. It had lots of breading on it which I tasted more than the cheese.
If I lived in the area I would give it another chance because I do like their "farm to counter" theme.
