The 2 stars are strictly for the food. The service is horrible. I won't be going back.
Had chicken breast al ajillo with rice and beans for only $13!! They close really late and deliver which isn't common for businesses in Newark. Beans had that authentic Dominican flavor. Being a lover of garlic sauces the ajillo was on point. Be warned though that the container was Styrofoam so it was all leaky when it finally arrived. Great portions; will definitely order something else soon.
I've never been here and only ordered for delivery. At first I thought this place was ok but after trying this place out a handful of times I have vowed never again…
The thin steaks in tomato sauce is disgusting. No joke. It has this nauseating beef smell & taste to it. Can't put my finger on it. Its also super dry, gritty & totally unappetizing. The pollo guisado (guessing the name) is a bit better but still not good. This also has that gross smell & taste. Best thing here is prob the grilled/roast chicken. Too salty but doable.
Its def super cheap, big portions & delivers late but I'd rather spend more money for food I can actually keep down. Had the chicken & beef last night with the bf and we both got sick afterwards.
