The food is good, but the prices could be lower and service could definitely use some improvement. No lunch specials on the weekend so I only ordered an $8 appetizer of Yayo buffalo wings (which was essentially encrusted with corn meal and deep fried). It was really meh and overly fried, but I tried my friend's other dishes it they were definitely yummy. Service is slow on the weekends and we find ourselves having to repeat ourselves as they do not really have a good command of the English language. Nice atmosphere however.
I like this place. The food is pretty good. The love their tostones (fried green plantains). I've been told that they fry it, press it on a machine sort of thing, and then re-fry it. So delicious.
I also really enjoy their Spanish and chicken soup. It's delicious, huge, and really hearty. The chicken is always falling off the bone.
Spanish coffee is very good as well, they steam the milk and it's only $1.75.
I don't come here for anything crazy, just a quick bite to eat, and usually take out but when I do I'm always happy with what I get.
Very homemade vibe, friendly owner, although service is usually a bit slow.
