  1. Is not as large as the other Fuels, so it was quite tight. I had the pityful privilege of sitting at the table located under the leaky A/C. That was not cool. But the service was, and the Cuban wrap was. But am still in love with the one in my hood. Too small. Its a ok.

  2. Pleasant but very slow service. Food is consistently adequate/poor. Rusty or wilted lettuce. Okay falafel. Ordinary hummus. Pita is dry and crumbles when dipped in hummus or soup. Very bland spinach-lentil soup. Baked sweet potato fries are burnt (see my pic). The worst thing so far has been finding rot in my fries (see my pic). No restrooms for customers. Meh! Unfortunately Energy Fuel is one of extremely few places with vegetarian / vegan options in Bay Ridge, so I'm kinda stuck with it. But I just found out that the nearby Walgreens has a refrigerator case of salads and sandwiches and some items are vegetarian – yay!

  3. I really expected a lot more from this place
I got the chicken salad, which tasted pretty good overall, but had the feel of one of those pre made salads for some reason. The turkey bacon was what really made the salad, and was the true hero here
The part that really lowered the rating was the banana milk shake. It was one of those days for me, where I was actually dying for one, and this one didn't cut it all. It was almost all milk taste, and had hardly any banana flavor, and I am not sure if it is because a bad banana was used or just not enough banana.
Both my gf and I didn't like ours, as they both tasted as I described above
I will most likely not be back, as their are other fish in the sea

  4. Meh, a chain/franchise that serves healthy-ish food, smoothies, and drinks. The pluses- it's one of the few in the area and walking distance from the VA and fort, it's a good size and has seats, and it's close to a park. Negatives- the staff that I dealt with was an inattentive and uninterested teen who seemed bothered by my presence. However, she kindly gave me a cup of ice for my warm juice when asked. Obviously the juice is not cold-pressed. That being said, if I'm craving a juice, as one does from time to time, I'll probably be back. That is, unless someone opens a true healthy eatery or I feel like walking to Cocoa Grinder.

  5. The service in this place sucks! On several occasions they messed up my order and when I go back to fix it they give me an attitude. I'm sorry I had to walk back and get exactly what I want since I am paying for it. The food is definitely NOT worth the prices. The portions have become smaller prices have risen the quality has diminished. The only reason these guys are still in business is due to lack of better options in the neighborhood and the gyms nearby. Not the same owners as fuel on ovington and 3rd which is much better than this place. If u can skip this place and go there. Hey energy fuel go back to the way you used to be and give your counter employees costumer service training.

  6. One of the very few or if not the only healthy restaurants in Bay Ridge area. Energy Fuel is an ok place to eat at if you want to eat healthy. Don't expect the food to be top notch restaurant food and there is nothing fancy about how the food is made. Most of the dishes you can probably make at home. They have a ton of smoothie options and juices. Some of the juices taste so nasty especially ones that has celery in it. Yuck!! Smoothies ain't bad. The price of eating healthy, I guess. Fyi, They also make wheatgrass shots.

A very small restaurant with limited seating and there is no restroom, so don't eat too much or drink too much. You be screwed if you have to use the restroom. You have been warned. It is in a convenient location near the 95th street station and bus stop. Service was fast too. Pricing wise it's not bad, maybe a bit expensive. Halal cart would be cheaper to get if you don't want to eat healthy.

What I had was the #50 Energy Protein. Chicken breast, onions & tomatoes baked with tahini served with egg whites. Not a bad dish. Chicken was a bit dry though. The egg whites was good. I love egg whites. Probably the best dish I had at Energy Fuel.  $11 for this dish.

I also got the cafe mocha smoothie. Coffee, fat free chocolate and skim milk. Not bad drink. Definitely a healthy version of coffee if there is such a thing. $5 for a medium drink.

Not a bad to have a simple made breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy. Maybe a killer on your wallet if you try eating here everyday, but it is a healthy cooking.

  7. There are a few places in the area named "Fuel." THIS is the one you want to go to.

FRESH healthy food, GREAT portions, GREAT prices.

P.S. Wouldn't eat there. I would order it in or pick it up.

  8. Amazing place. I love the staff, the menu, the speed of home delivery and the vegetarian choices they offer. I love their pizza and the combis of fruits-juices. The mango-passion fruit one is divine. I am moving out of bay ridge but will definitely visit this whenever I am back!!

P.S.: changed it to 4 stars because I went at 9:25 (they close at 10:00) and they said there juice section was closed because they are cleaning up. I walked 10 blocks to get to them. The guy was new and he said the other guys do this menu, not me. Disappointed!!
