Most of the time when someone from out of town asks me to recommend a good Italian restaurant in the Bronx, I'll say Enzo's. With the vast array of authentic Italian eateries on Arthur Ave, Enzo's holds its own by consistently delivering delicious food in a warm atmosphere.
It's hard to go with a wrong selection, the menu is pretty no-frills but the food is superior so they can get away with it. One of my favorite appetizers is the fried meatballs – it's served with caramelized onions and peppers which give it a nice spice. My go-to entree is the chicken capricciosa – the chicken is always fried perfectly leaving it crispy on the outside but super juicy on the inside. The salad that tops it is well dressed and adds a fresh twist to the dish. While it's not a regular menu item, their lasagne is out of this world, if you're lucky enough to dine here while it's on special I highly recommend you try it.
Enzo's will always be a go-to local spot for me, definitely my favorite restaurant in Morris Park.
