Wow; what a fantastic luncheonette! This has become my new breakfast place, and willingly. What a great family that owns this little Astoria gem. It seems as if they're on a first-name basis with almost everyone that crosses the threshold in the morning.
It's becoming more difficult to find places like this in any large city nowadays, and it's without a doubt a welcome breath of fresh air to find small businesses that have long standing ties to their community, and still believe in the value of friendship.
American breakfast at its best (they have lunch too). Really- all the timeless goodies for good prices in a cozy little diner atmosphere. None of that fancy breakfast stuff. Welcoming staff too. Hit the spot!
I ordered delivery via GrubHub but I didn't write the address correctly. The delivery guy called me 40 minutes later and it turned out they don't deliver to my area. So I called the restaurant to see what's going to happen with the food and if I can pay for it anyway since the whole episode was my fault. I spoke with the owner and he could not be nicer. He actually refused to take any money, and was so gracious and sweet. So I didn't get to try their food but I tried their customer services and it's beyond outstanding.. Thank you so much for being awesome 🙂
My girlfriend lives in Astoria and when I was staying with her, we wanted a simple and yummy breakfast one morning. We found Family Corner on Yelp and decided to check it out. Very tiny diner with a family feel and great service. Everyone that works here is friendly and accommodating. I had an orange juice and cheese omelet. The food was delicious and home cooked tasting – you can never go wrong with a big, inexpensive plate of simple American breakfast.

Being new to the hood (well this side of ditmars) I really need a "go to" breakfast spot. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU. I had such a wonderful morning and the food was exactly what I wanted.
Also, the lovely waitress Jen running after me with my keys pretty much made my day.

The name is so fitting – when you are at Family Corner they truly make you feel like family. In addition to the amazing service, the food is incredible! I highly recommend the charcoal chicken and Greek salad. And the prices were just right for me, so much less expensive than the other Greek places in the area.

Sweet potato pancakes were delicious but next time I will get them with bananas to make them even better! We wanted to try some place new for breakfast and venture out of Jackson Heights and I am so glad we came and tried this place. The coffee was also great, a step above diner coffee everywhere. Very friendly and welcoming waitress too.
Great spot for a quick breakfast/lunch or brunch. We came here spur of the moment and certainly weren't disappointed.
I loved their chicken wrap! And my boyfriend loved his omelet.
Whenever we're back in New York, we'll have to stop here and grab a bite with the NYFD.
