Forty Carrots

“The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is that you have to not only fight the crowd through Bloomingdales to get up to forty carrots, you then have to fight another crowd to get your froyo.”

“It is a huge portion of tart, creamy delicious yogurt that you can share with a friend and make both of you happy.”

“NEVER WEEKENDS, BEWARE, YOU WILL BE CRUSHED BY TOURISTS!”

  1. Really an unpleasant experience as this place is filled with angry shoppers, tourists, entitled upper east side princesses (and princes), and over-bronzed sniping cougars.

To top it off the service here is very slow – it is really an spruced up delicatessen serving tuna/chicken salad concoctions at 2x deli prices.  They probably could turn the tables here much faster if the wait staff are more efficient.  Instead you have a long wait to sit down at the restaurant.

The only saving grace is the frozen yogurt…

  2. This is a restaurant in Bloomingdales with average prices. It could easily be an upscale lunch to take a friend or a casual spot since the prices are affordable. It's the main branch of forty carrots which has stands in major Bloomingdales across the country. The food here is pretty good but not amazing (hence the four stars) however no on comes here for the food. You come here for the yogurt.

The yogurt is simply the best I have ever had. Better than pinkberry or red mango or anywhere else you can imagine with upscale froyo. Forty carrots has the best yogurt hands down and that is why you should come here. Get a small soup or salad as an appetizer to prepare for your meal of yogurt. The yogurt portions are generous and you don't need any frill of toppings.

On another note, the service here is pretty bad. It took us 30 minutes to get the check last time. But just be aggressive in your check getting and come here for the yogurt.

  3. Always great salads and service. This place is great for vegetarians! You can get the zorbas salad, or the forty carrots chopped salad and sub for tuna. They also have great egg salad. I don't care for their lasagna but its also vegetarian. Their cheese quesadillas are decent but not special. The kids menu is great they get milk and froyo included which is great. Look out for their specials like butternut squash ravioli, spinach quiche and salad. Ps their soups are all made with chicken broth so vegetarians don't be fooled by the name "carrot soup". The best value is that you can order yogurt at the end for only 3$ when you order an entree or salad. This place is great with kids and always put you in a table that fits the stroller and give high chairs. Friendly clean and fun!

  4. Frozen yoghurt is good. Food is pretty bad. The staff are rude and not very helpful. We started off our shopping with a snack and regretted it.

  5. Hands down my favorite frozen yogurt. If you can battle through 6 floors of Bloomingdale's and ignore the rude staff, you will be set for a treat. I love the plain yogurt with some fresh fruit. It is a huge portion of tart, creamy delicious yogurt that you can share with a friend and make both of you happy.
