I only had one tamale but it was vey good and for $1.50 a pretty good value!
They all have some cheap staples, including both versions of salsa Valentina. (Putting this in my review in case anyone is searching for it because that is hard to find!)
The food doesn't come close to making up for the sullen and glacial service.
Cecina taco was pretty good. As for the cemita, while the pork was on the rubbery side, the other fillings were first-rate. The usual highlights like cheese and peppers were present, but there was also a large amount of spicy, compelling red sauce.
But I won't return. They weren't happy to see me and getting water or the check was sort of Waiting For Godot-meets-Dr. Katz.
