  1. A great take out place for breakfast but they also serve up lunch items as well. Located in Chinatown this is definitely a cash only spot but their breakfast won't cost you much.

I always have their breakfast combo because its a big serving of food along with a drink such as hot tea or coffee. They're always popular in the morning, catering to the elderly and the parents who need their children to grab a quick bite before class.

Having been around for a long time, they had changed their name to happy family cafe, I assume it is cause they cater to the families. Will be grabbing breakfast here when I am craving more of a Hong Kong style breakfast.

  2. If you want something quick, here is the place to go. I decided to go with vegetable & fried egg spaghetti. It is what it says. Just a few pieces of lettuce with two fried eggs on top of steamed spaghetti. There is soysauce that comes with the dish.

Just quick, comfort Chinese food. They have soup noodles, special toasts (ham&egg, spam&egg, condensed milk toast), congee, steamed rice roll, fried spaghetti, fried rice, steamed rice, and fried noodle dishes.

For breakfast, there are combos that comes with a drink. I'd be back for that.

  3. I love this place!!  I've been coming here since I was really young and glad this place is still here. This place is Hong Kong style food and inexpensive.

I love pork chop over rice, satay noodles soup, and their good ol Ham and egg sandwiches!  Wash it all down with milk tea.

  4. My friend took me here so I had no idea what to expect… Happy Cafe is a rather rundown local place than what you'd expect a Chinese "cafe" to look like. Perhaps I was just imagining this place to be a HK-style cafe like Cha Chan Tang (which is also located in Chinatown), so my fault for that.

Nevertheless, the food is dirt cheap and service is extremely quick and friendly. More to say, this place is pretty clean despite its appearance.

This is the definite go-to place for a quick cheap bite.

  5. Love small cafes like this where service is fast and food is delicious. Great Hong Kong style cafe with breakfast foods such as toast with condensed milk and ham and egg sandwiches. These cafes are sparse nowadays which makes this more of a gem. Really great to stop by for a quick bite.
