  1. Late night craving. Arrived at 2:30 AM or so. Place was still crawling with vampires like myself. The waitress reminded of me of Korean soup nazi. She almost pissed me off but I was in a good mood so let it go.

I tried their seafood soup and it was pretty blend. Maybe it's the late night chef. They are famous for spicy (really spicy) chicken feet without the bones. This is good for your skin with collagen and gelatin but HOT as hell. I could not feel anything afterwards or the next day.  Yet, I kept eating like an addict.

The night ended with some soju drinking, couple of trips to the bathroom and finally calling it a night when we realized the sun was coming up. Thank god for Flushing late night drinking place like this.

I shall return to conquer the SPICY CHICKEN FEET without any fear. BOOM!

  2. The portions here are pretty large! Came with 3 of my other girl friends and we got one Korean stew with ramen, spam, sausage, kimchi, bacon, and some other stuff and we also got chicken.

I liked the stew because I like hot soup on a cold day. The spam and bacon was also pretty good. The chicken was meh. Nothin special in my opinion. We didn't really enjoy it enough to even finish half of it.

We also got a bowl of rice and beer to share.

Service was really quick and there was no wait for seating and we came on a Friday night so that was nice. Great environment to sit and chill with food and drinks with friends.

Come with someone who can read Korean though because the menu is completely in Korean!

  3. Hot Korean soup is the perfect remedy for fending off the ill effects of alcohol. Of course, that doesn't work if you toss soju into the mix, but I'm no doctor.

Incheon's jambbong soojaebi is outstanding, full of hearty seafood chunks, with a slight bite, yet manages to soothe and comfort – it really isn't such a crazy spicy soup when you get to know it. Those with more sensitive palates should be able to cope.

Cute Korean girls parade along the walls and in the restaurant as well, providing welcome eye candy. Speaking of Korean, if you don't know any, you'll be at a significant disadvantage. Luckily my accomplice was fluent, and insisted she do all the ordering.*

    * Which she usually does, especially in private.
