  1. Awesome! We had a private space for the group of us. The service was excellent… The options for food and pricing (and amount!) was great. Would definitely go back, cute find in the upper west side.

  2. Okay I'm not going to lie. I came here because I read on the reviews that Lady Gaga's pop owns this so I thought maybe just maybe (slightest maybe of course) that I may bump into the diva herself but no sight of Gaga. The food is average. Nothing impressive. I loved the meatballs. The pizza is not worth trying. I've had better.

  3. Who: UWS locals and opera goers

What: Outstanding Italian dishes for very reasonable prices for the area. I ordered the lemon artichoke chicken and I finished the entire thing! Fantastic sauce! Decent wine menu.

When: I only went for an early dinner, so I can't say much about their lunch menu. If you are going to a show and you let the staff know, they are very good and getting you in and out on time.

Why: This restaurant is in Lady Gaga's family

  4. I came here with my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary. I am HUGE Lady Gaga fan so it was only fair to come here. We came here at 5:30pm on a Saturday Night, no reservation. It was PACKED but luckily if we took a seat on the patio which was enclosed we wouldn't have to wait. In my opinion, that was the best place to seat anyways. The restaurant was quite small, tables very close together, a bit noisy since it was busy and quite warm in there but the patio was lovely. The patio was cool temperature, decorated so lovely with christmas lights, and our table was quite spacious. My boyfriend got the Broccoli Rabe and I got the Penne with Garlic & Olive Oil. Both dishes were delicious, decently priced and nice portions. Our server was very attentive but not overly so and very quick. We had a good experience here and we would definitely be back! I would definitely make reservations if you want to come here though… we got lucky but reservations are needed.

  5. My best friend and I came here because as Gaga fans of course we wanted to try this place.

The food was top notch. I had the artichoke lemon chicken and my friend had the mussels while we shared the meat balls. The chicken I had was cooked to perfection. So tender and really good portion size.  The meatballs were everything though. I still cannot get over them.

In terms of service, I do wish it was a little better. There was only one server who was working both the bar patrons and the dining room patrons so I can imagine he was stressed. I think another server would have helped because it took us a while to get the check.

I definitely will come back because the food is really what makes this place special.

  6. Located just blocks from the Lincoln Center, this is a great pre-theater option! It doesnt get too crowded and prices for both food and wine are reasonable too. The mussels, sausages and meatballs burst with juicy flavors! If you like cheese, order the stuffed mushrooms! I would recommend against the brussel sprout salad as I found it too acidic and lacking in texture as it was shredded too finely. Leave some room for the chocolate mousse cake, which is nothing short of decadent. Although they were out of all their fish options, the meat substitutes did not disappoint!

  7. I had a dinner here with my wife & I enjoyed it very much. My favourite thing about the place is hands down the ambience. Perfect little cozy spot. The service was really quick, food was good. Mine was a little salter then I would have liked but I'm fuzzy with my salt so I would't take that comment to seriously. If I ever am in the area again I would come back for sure. I really enjoyed my experience here!

  8. You get a lot for your money at Joanne. It is a picture perfect UWS Tratorria serving the very definition of Italian soul food. After a number of visits, and many carry-outs, we have never been disappointed. We are always surprised by the price points on the menu because they are such a contrast to neighboring restaurants.

Pastas are alway fresh and generous. I haven't found a pizza I like better. The chicken parm is standout. They even have an Italian Cabernet on the by-the-glass list that is great. (Wouldn't normally consider an Italian Cab).

Call for a reservation. They are always busy. Now you know why.
