  1. Came in late for food and the lack of service left us leaving before we even ordered. The rolls seemed very gimmicky (Mets roll, Beyoncé Roll, ext.).

The interior of the restaurant was nice but there was an awkward bench behind every table. It was like the tables were suppose to be larger but as a result they put chairs right before the bench. It all made for some awkward seating.

I can't speak on the food. Prices were a bit high, a Philadelphia roll was considered a "special" roll. I'm not sure if I'll be back because the service was totally lacking.

  2. Apparently the three roll combo with a soup and salad for $10 plus tax is applicable in the evenings? Who knew?! I definitely didn't. I initially ordered a miso salad, an eel avocado roll, and an Alaska roll. A customer came a few minutes after me and the waitress told him about the three roll combo, so afterwards I politely asked if I could add an additional roll and have the promotion apply. They agreed and I added a California roll. Overall, this was a very enticing deal but I found the rolls lacking. I would definitely patron other sushi establishments in the area.

  3. The lunch specials are good deals, especially the tempura udon and sushi & sashimi bento box. With these come a salad and miso soup. The portions are filling. We also tried the sashimi bento and  sushi bento. The sashimi is not the best I've tasted but not bad. The yellow tail, salmon, clam and scallop are pretty decent. The red tuna, however, is so-so; it didn't taste that fresh. The sushi here is better than the rolls, in terms or aesthetics and taste. Really not bad for a sushi place in suburban Queens. Affordable, and good value for what you pay for. I'd come here again if I craved sushi in this area.

  4. Found this place with the help of Yelp, so decided to give it a try. According to some of the reviews, the ramen is pretty favored here, so I gave that a try! Of course, this is a Japanese restaurant with sushi and such, as with that, this place serves only two types of ramen, miso and then there is one with meat (pork). I ordered the one with the meat, and was very satisfied with it. Not only was it very presentable, but I felt like the broth was great and flavorful as well. The texture of the noodles was just right as well. On the side, we ordered Spicy Salmon, which was again very appetizing. The size of the rolls appear bigger than most Japanese places. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
