Pretty average place, nothing really stands out. Not saying it's bad, it's perfectly fine and I would recommend dining here but I am not going to rant and rave about it.
This is a weekly staple for my girlfriend and I. Yes, it is a bit pricey compared to some of the other mexican joints in New Rochelle, but far superior to any one of them. While I would rate their food 5 stars, there are some servers there who need to re-read waitressing 101. The food however is phenomenal. For dinner IMO the things to get are the Burrito de mole poblano and the chicken burrito fajita. If you go there for lunch get the lunch combos!! They are a few dollars cheaper and offer more food and a great variety of different things to sample. Dinner for too without alcohol will run you about 25-35 dollars plus tip, but once again, you get a ton of food and I have never eaten anything there i did not like. Furthermore, the drinks there are very good. Though they are 10 dollars each, the frozen margaritas are tasty and potent. All in all a solid dining experience.
Enjoyable Mexican in New Rochelle!
Tried a variety of food and drink and was quite pleased with everything. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The salsa here is definitely fresh and tasty with just the right amount of kick – could be chunkier though!
I agree with many of the other comments though that the prices do not match the type of food or the neighborhood. The food is good but still Mexican which should be cheaper! Felt like I was dining in midtown Manhattan at those prices.
One of the better mexican restaurants in new rochelle. They have great drinks, table side guacamole and great tex-mex style mexican food. I think they have better quesadillas than the "other place next door" but that is subjective. The service has always been delightful and I also think that this location has the upper hand over the one in mamaroneck. This place is great for a dinner date or for a group of friends. it's also very close to a bunch of bars if you feel like partying afterwards. If you come in on a night where the weather is not defined as "bad", you will find yourself waiting for a table.
Oh hell yea! Really damn good food. They offer an extensive menu with quality, authentic Mexican cuisine. Its priced right! There is also a section for single items – small plates – not full entrees that you can snack on for low prices. Their margaritas are stellar. One in my party ordered a beer and it was essentially a bowl of beer. The staff are attentive and friendly. You cannot go wrong here. Oh, and its good for vegetarians.
