La Parada makes the BEST rotisserie chicken, hands-down. The novio has been a loyal customer for years and recently converted me over too. You can smell it in the air as soon as you walk in – you just know there is a treat waiting for you.
We ordered a whole rotisserie chicken to-go ($9) and were in and out. Our friends had called for pick-up and were quoted 40 minutes wait time in order to get the chicken. I don't know about anything else on their menu, but what I tried simply took the crown and has me curious to try everything else. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy and held some intense flavor. According to him, that day was actually a bit of an off-day for them because the meat itself wasn't as tender as it usually is. Admittedly, some of the chicken was juicy than other parts, but I still really liked it despite that.
There are a few small sit-down tables available, but it seems their customers usually take the food to go instead. They aren't trying to make things overly fancy, just making some bangin' chicken that'll make you want to come back for more and more.
Wow, you guys gotta try the roasted chicken, its hands down the best chicken on Fourth Ave. When you enter the place you see them spinning on the roaster, the chicken skin is golden brown and crispy. I also ordered a small chicken soup, and it taste just like they make it in the Dominican Rep., home made style. So good, I gave it four stars cause they recently higher the prices. Go to the Parada and get that delicious roasted chicken.
