  1. Came here with a party of 4 on a saturday night.
Good ambience, short but adequate wine list, good service and good food.
We had the pate and goad cheese crust inis to start and the duck, a risotto dish w crab and a lobster fettuccini special as entrees. The pate was the best we had.

  2. An intimate restaurant boasting good food and excellent service. Highly recommend the lightly dressed salade nicoise, which comes in a hearty serving guaranteed to leave you satisfied!

  3. Is food a culture language or an universal language? I believe it's the latter. To me – who never been to France, always have been a frequent Asian food eater, eat French and new American occasionally, French bistro is a brand new step. I'm so glad that my friend Linda chose Le gigot as a lovely and hearty start of my French bistro journey.

Le gigot offers a Provence ambiance (which means low key, lovely and romantic to me), super attentive staff, and extraordinarily delicious food. I would recommend all of them: mussels, crab cake (purely crab meat with a nice crust), bouillabaisse (creamy and flavorful soup), trout with seasonal veggies (tender and fresh), and the amazing duck confit (juicy, luxuriously rich flavor, and tender meat)!

A great hide-away spot for small friends party or a romantic date. Would come back to have more duck confit or try out gigot d'agneau aux flageolets.

    CASH or Amex only!

  4. Excellent!  I brought my girlfriend here on Saturday night for our anniversary and it was wonderful.  She had the lobster with shrimp risotto($32 – worth every penny) and I had the Boeuf Bourguignon and both were amazing.  For dessert we split the flambéed banana with cognac and chocolate cake with chocolate sauce.  The chocolate cake wasn't that good, however the banana dish was delicious.  I highly recommend this place.  It's perfect for a date – very romantic, small, cozy, not to mention the good food.  I will definitely go back!

  5. Came here for a late dinner date; this restaurant is very small and cozy. It's French and it's exquisite. I got the boeuf bourguignon and it was very tasty. The entrees were very good and the wine was also great! The environment is also very chill and calm. It's exclusive and has a private feel.

Downsides: It was a little too small and we were placed pretty close to the tables around us. Also, I'm a creme brûlée fanatic and they definitely burnt the creme when brulee-ing.

  6. Risotto was stellar. Bouillabaisse was decent. Scallops were exceptional. The saffron dip was excellent! The pate plate was a letdown (mainly because we're used to a soft texture and this was a brick). And yes, the crab cake is indeed delicious!

I've sampled better Cotes du Rhone so I'd suggest skipping that if you were to choose a glass for your dinner. It was a nice experience and I would like to return for another scrumptious meal. Sans pate.

  7. Great dinner here.  The food was terrific with the highlights being the Poulet and crab cab.  I enjoyed my beef bourguignon although it wasn't too the level of what I had in Burgundy recently (no surprise and I tough comparison), I found the dish just a touch too sweet.  The meat was super tender though and I'd recommend the dish.  Service was super timely and friendly.  I'll definitely be back for again.  Strange policy with only accepting AMEX over ViSA/MC.

  8. Haven't been here in over a decade.  But a girl asked me out on a date, and we went. Still the same great French bistro I remember. No diluted hybrid fusion, no New "insert your ethnic".  Just good old solid French offerings.  Place is small, it does get cramped yet romantic. We got seated next to the bar against the back wall after the narrow 5' "hall". Easy fix.  We just sat side by side, old school.  It's better that way.

We shared a lobster salad, Mussels Provencal, Poule, and a vegetable plate, apple tart, 2 bottles of Cotes de Nuits Pinot Noir.  I had a great time.

Service was great, owner very charismatic and helpful. Thank you.
