  1. I find myself in Fords on a semi-regular basis. There is little about these trips that I look forward to, because it means I am at my mother-in-law's house…so that comes with all sorts of less-than-awesome accouterments. One of those less-than-awesome things: her breakfast options. So, I hustle myself out of bed and down the road to the Liberty Bagel Cafe instead.

I always get a variant on the same thing — meat, egg and cheese on a bagel. And they never disappoint. I went in for the Pork Roll Egg and Cheese on an Everything yesterday morning, and it was so damn satisfying…their bagels are darned good all by themselves, but put a little bit of Jersey heaven on there and it almost — almost — makes the trip to Fords tolerable.

  2. I've been here a handful of times. The food is always fresh, they are quick with your order and it's inexpensive. There is also plenty of room to dine in as well as a parking lot, along with street parking. Order a pork roll, bacon, egg and cheese, take your first bit and let the serotonin reign over your body. Could they go heavier with the egg and meat on their sandwiches? Sure, but for an inexpensive, quality bagel sandwich, I can't complain.

  3. Liberty is like an old pair of pants that make you feel cozy and safe.

For a decade I've worked in the area, and the food is consistent. Bagels are small, yet soft. Eggs always cooked to order and I'm obsessed with their bacon.

My favorite is that they have hi-c pink lemonade on tap. And crushed ice!

    Friendly and quick service.

  4. I think I've finally found my go-to bagel place in the morning. I like when I walk in at 5 AM, they're ready to go! They have a variety of bagels and breakfast sandwiches that you can choose from. It's fun mixing and matching the bagels they have with their different cream cheese. They also work quick to get your coffee and food if you're trying to get on the road at a certain time. They have their own parking lot and seating inside. You can use card however there is a minimum.

Raisin bagel w. Cinnamon-Walnut Cream Cheese | If you're craving something sweet, this is a great option for you. The bagel was nice and chewy. At first I was worried that the cream cheese would be too sweet but it paired really nicely with the bagel with raisins and small pieces of walnuts here and there.

Everything bagel w. Jalepeño Cream Cheese | I couldn't wait to try this one! The bagel was nothing out of the ordinary however the cream cheese was the star of the show. It wasn't overwhelming because they cut the pieces of jalenpeño into bite size pieces so it wasn't overwhelming. The small pieces were also pickled as opposed to being fresh jalepeño pieces which tend to be more spicy.

Plain toasted bagel with Salmon | I was nervous trying this one not going to lie but I just had to try it. I really wanted to taste the salmon flavor so I didn't want to overwhelm it with anything other than plain. After the cream cheese, they added onions tomato and long pieces of salmon. It was amazing. Even better than I thought it would be! The onions, not too much, cut the creaminess and the salmon didn't have that overwhelming "fishy" flavor so it married well with the other ingredients.

Can't wait to mix and match more of their bagels!
