  1. Just a diner as far as food is concerned. They seem to have a hatred for anyone outside of their wished target demographic, which as far as I can tell that target is anyone over 40. Never had good service here, stopped going.

  2. This place was a decent diner for late breakfast with the family. However, it was a little pricy and our food took a while to come. Our waitress was nice but the hottess sat us in a booth that was underneath an air filter. I didn't like that bc what if dust goes into my food! However, it was a decent diner

  3. Great diner, not too sure why it has so many bad reviews. I have been to this location a numerous amount of times and have always left satisfied. For one, its a diner so do not expect any five star meal… (be realistic and stick to what diners are known for). In the past I have had a BLT, Greek salad, eggs, etc..

  4. I don't know how vegetarian's do it!?

I was craving a big, juicy, greasy, burger the Friday before Christmas (weekend.) My usual diner was a town away, and I was HUN-G-RY.  My friends, family, and co-workers, know I am not the nicest person when hungry.

I went up the road to the Lynbrook Diner.  Last time I visited this particular diner, I wasn't pleased.  It was for breakfast and there were an eggshells in my Omelet.  That is a big diner FAIL.  Crunchy eggs are icky.

This evening, I walked into the diner and was greeted nicely by the staff.  I am always a little self-conscious about dining alone.  After requesting a party of one, I was seated at a booth.  Thank goodness. Bar seating for a woman is awkward.   I am addicted to my Samsung Tablet now, so I pull it out, pull up Yelp, and check in.

My waitress Lisa, came over quickly and couldn't have been sweeter.  I ordered my soda and Hamburger Deluxe and awaited its delivery.  As I sat observing (and pretending I was cool with my Tablet,) an older couple strolled in.  They were seated pretty close to me, in a station with a waitress they requested.  They were with in earshot, so I could pretty much hear everything. (I am a nosy-body by trade.)

As I sat and waited (a mere 8 minutes) for my burger, I saw almost a chemistry between the older couple and the waitress.  She spoke to them as friends.  Then all of a sudden the man (owner?)  front walks over and has a lengthy convo with the older couple. I brought a little smile to my face.

Then my food came, so I tuned out a bit because of  the BATTERED onion rings.  I hate onions, but love onion rings.  I always peel and eat the batter and discard the ring.  Battered rings make that so much easier for me.  The fries were crispy and hot, and the burger was cooked well.

My waitress Lisa, actually came back and asked if the "meat was cooked right."
(I swear, it was the Yelp screen up on my tablet, that got me the positive attention.)

This visit to the Lynbrook Diner, made me think twice about coming back.  I was wished a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as I departed…

    NICE!

  5. I like this diner.  The renovation is great.  The chicken souflaki is great and I love the tziki sauce.  The only complaint is when you order out sometimes they screw up the orders.
