  1. Food: fine, but we did keep it pretty simple. My son had the chicken tenders, my daughter and I both had the grilled cheese (I wasn't very hungry) and my wife ordered some grilled chicken wrap that was prepared with bacon, bbq sauce and I believe some veggies. All orders were served with fries and as mentioned above, all were good. Nothing fancy. Just normal, right down the fairway type of dishes.

Service: what I expected. Nothing fancy, but polite and helpful. I asked that we push a little rush on our orders and our server was happy to comply. The food came out quickly.

Atmosphere: pretty typical diner atmosphere. Some booths some tables, windows open to the parking lot and street. No surprises which was perfect for me.

Misc: the bill was $50 after tip which seemed high to me…especially since three of the orders were a kids chicken tender, kids grilled cheese and an adult grilled cheese (which was basically the same exact thing as the kids grilled cheese). Sorry guys. Unlikely to be back.

  2. This place used to be a whole lot better in service.  Those female staff are so bitchy in the morning.  Good grief…I'm afraid to ask for more coffee.  No one greets u or walk u to a table.  No one brings the menu until five minutes sitting at a booth, a waitress asks have we been helped when clearly she saw that no one came over to sit us or provided menus.  The breakfast food is still decent thank goodness.

  3. First time coming here and I probably wont be back. Its a very outdated diner and pretty small. I ordered a turkey cheeseburger with cheese fries and gravy. When I eat a meal like that with all those calories, I want it to be good and it just wasn't. I felt like it was very bland. Service was a bit slow also. With so many great diners in the area, I wont be coming back to this one.

  4. A good diner to count on.

The service is good and the food comes out fast and always in large portions. They have good food that are not too greasy or lacking in flavor. It's a good go-to for a diner.

Their omelettes are huge and delicious. They definitely give you your money's worth. I like the waffles as well as their eggs Benedict (though the sauce is slightly sour for my taste, still good).

Sunny is the best waiter there! But all the wait staff are super nice and friendly and you can strike up a conversation with most of them.

The decor is very old fashioned looking… I think it's for an older crowd. It's traditional looking with its dark greens and maroon colors… But like I said, it's dependable overall.

  5. I've been to Lyndhurst Diner twice so far and I equally enjoyed both my meals. The first time I had a Philly Steak Wrap, which was delicious and my mom got an Open Faced Steak Sandwich that looked amaazzzinnnggg – def. unexpected for a diner in my opinion. I wish I had taken a picture. It was cooked perfectly. The second time I got a Turkey Burger. Usually turkey burgers look unappetizing, but this one looked picture perfect with the lettuce, rounds of red onion, and avocado. I'm not usually a big fan of turkey burgers because they are usually just blah, but make me feel better about what I'm eating. This one, on the other hand, was delicious. I went with curly fries too. Real good. My sister got a Philly Cheese Steak. This is surprisingly one of the best diners I've been to. Also, the cashier stand is a bar haha so drink up.

  6. Whatever this diner lacks, they made up for with an awesome vanilla milkshake and a TEC like I haven't had in a long time.  (that's taylor ham egg and cheese, btw.)  Seriously, a lot of places give you just 2 pieces of pork roll.  I was stunned to see 5 pieces on my sandwich! Yes, they were cut thin, but whoever was cooking that night knew how to the the bread: meat: cheese ratio just right.  This is a dying art.  See my photo for the evidence.

  7. One of the best diner burgers can be found here!
