  1. I came here because 1 of my co-workers from my previous job suggested it. It is an amazing big place with a beautiful outdoor/inside & buffet style spot. We had to make reservations because today (May 1st) they had booked 3 live bands, however since mother nature came through we could not be outside…
The dj was great and played soca, reggae, hip hop & trap music.
Drinks: truly bottomless….omg I didn't get through half my drink before the waiter come through to fill up. The drinks were sweet so I had to watch myself….. The only problem I had was it was not bottomless water.
1 problem: They did not make any bacon….who serves brunch without bacon. smh
Okay, so Sunday brunch for 6 people (buffet/bottomless drinks) + tax + tip(included in the bill)= $194 total

  2. Great place, amazing food, UNIQUE drinks, awesome music and good service….what's not to love?

I've heard of this place for a while now but was never able to make my way down. After eventually moving out of the state and visiting ny this past weekend, some friends insisted we come here for lunch/dinner.

We got great parking nearby and got there half hour before the kitchen opened. Their lovely staff invited us to wait at the bar if we'd like. (Which if you know us, we likey a lot:P)

I really liked that the bar was in its own area yet not to far away from the seating area. The drink menu was ridiculously good!  If my liver would've let me, i honestly would've tried everything! The week before i got to ny, I kept telling my friends about a grapefruit vodka that i tried at a yelp event but i couldn't seem to find any, any  where else. What does my eye catch as soon as i look at the menu?! Why a GUAVA(fav thing to drink)BERRY drink, MADE WITH GRAPEFRUIT VODKA ! My friend ordered a drink that came in an actual melon! It was very refreshing, but i still loveddd that guavaberry and so did she.

After we got to our table and looked at the menu, i was completely stumped. Everything sounded great. We worked up a pretty big appetite at the bar so we wanted everything.  For appetizers we got the coconut shrimp and calamari. I loved the arrangement of the shrimp and it was very good! The calamari was crunchy and tasty.

For dinner, oh boy. My friend and i decided to get a meal for 2 that came with just about everything! I'm talking rib eye, salmon, fried pork, sausages, chicken, etc. We got a side of beans and rice and mashed yuca. Everything was SO FLAVORFUL! we laughed about not giving up and  to keep going to try to at least eat quarter of our table.

Brian j. Got the most unique looking meal I've ever seen! the Pargo Rojo "El Original"  (crispy red snapper stuffed with crab meat mofongo in criollo lobster sauce)  the Plating was eye catching. I know it tasted good because even though i had enough on my plate, my fork kept finding it way to his plate.

If eating tons of food wasn't enough, we still ordered dessert! Chocolate lava cake with strawberries. The four of us shared one since we didn't want to be too greedy…as if we hadn't passed that road 3 plates ago.

Staff was very attentive and were kind. They're appearance was very neat . We got there around 4 and didn't leave till about 9. There was never any sign of a rush and they did everything to make us feel welcomed. My mouth is watering as i finish this review so do check them out.  I believe our bill for the ENTIRE night rounded to about 250 with drinks for 4 people!

  3. Sunday Brunch Review!
I came here with the mister after church at around 1pm. It was fairly empty and we didn't have a reservation but we were seated right away. After a minute of awkwardly sitting there (because you know most restaurants you're actually greeted by a waitress and some info) the hostess who sat us came over to tell us what to do. She was super sweet and walked us over to the buffet station. She pointed out all the food options in detail and let us know someone would be coming around with mimosas and punch.

Food & Drinks: Fried cheese & fried salami, mangu, fish, white rice & bean sauce, eggs Benedict, pork ribs, steak, rice & beans and pancakes. Echoing other reviewers — the food is not out of this world, but I didn't expect it to be. I liked trying the mangu and fried salami since I've never had them before. They also had omelets made to order and a salad station. I can't imagine coming back if they always have the same food for brunch. It's really not that exciting and gets old quickly.
The punch was really good and had a little kick. The mimosas were ok, but heavy on the OJ.

Ambiance: When I walked in I really liked the vibe and automatically considered going here for my birthday brunch. It's a young adult crowd, many people dressed up in heels and dresses — I felt a little out of place coming from church lol They have a nice outdoor area which was completely empty; later I found out that they don't include the bottomless drink deal outdoors which is what made me change my mind about coming for my birthday.

Overall I don't regret coming here, but I also didn't experience anything that would compel me to return. Our glass-filler (because I wouldn't consider them waiters), although we were told 2hrs per stay and our receipt print out clearly showed we arrived after 1:30, gave us the bill at 2:50 and then proceeded to ignore us. I probably would have been upset if the mimosas tasted better.

  4. I came here for an early Saturday night.

    FOOD
My guest and I ordered a cocktail and appetizer each. The drinks were plentiful and strong. The melocito is attractively presented in a melon. Very cool and unique! The food left a lot to be desired. It was attractively presented but they lacked flavor. We ordered the shrimp and sliders. We found the food and drinks to pricey. Our bill was $75 for 2 drinks and 2 appetizers. My drink was in a melon though which was cool.

    SERVICE
The wait staff was super great. We arrived around 53p. It was almost empty. By 630, it was almost packed. The waiters were professional and friendly. They gave us our drinks and food within 15-20 minutes.

  5. I came here today for for a relative's birthday. I had also been here for brunch over a year ago for a friend's birthday. Two completely different experiences. Last time was a lot of fun. My friend and I came early for brunch. The food was good. Traditional Dominican breakfast with queso frito, mangu, etc. They had eggs benedict which I don't like bc I don't like runny yolk, but they overcooked it so I actually liked it even though it wasn't prepared right. They kept the drinks coming. We were drinking the jack punch which I remember being good. This time around my family arrived too late for brunch. It was 3 and it was almost over. A few people decided to pick at the food (french toast, eggs benedict, pasta, chicken, pork chops) that was there while the rest of us waited the hour and half for dinner. We ordered a pitcher of red sangria which was pretty good. I've been kind of over sangria bc whenever I get it out it just tastes like juice, but this one was decent. We ordered 2 appetizers which was more than enough food for everyone. We got the guacamole which was served with tostones and tortilla chips and the picadera colombiana, a sampler platter with sausage, chicken, fried pork, yuca fries and potatoes. I can only imagine what the dinner entrees look like. The service last time was way better. Although we came at an awkward time, we still participated in brunch and dinner and paid money so the service could have been way better. Our server didn't pay attention to us at all. The last person who cleared our table was far more attentive. I basically averaged the 4 I would have given them last time with the 2 I give them this time around.

  6. I came here for brunch on Saturday afternoon with my girlfriends. The location is very big and has outdoor seating. We were all under the impression that we would have a menu to choose from but that day the brunch was buffet style with unlimited mimosis or sangria. That is fine with me but to me the food was not like OMG nor the drinks. I do give it to them it's a nice place to go catch up and stuff but to me for spanish food this was just ok. The waiter was good he came everytime we needed a drink refill which I would say is ok since some places tend to forget when it is unlimited.

  7. This place is horrible! The food is really bad and so are the drinks. For a Spanish spot, the food was way under seasoned. A fight broke out while we were there and there were cops/ambulance everywhere. We didn't bother staying for the club part after because it was THAT bad.

The lights are similar to club lights and u can barely see your food. Our calamari was definitely fried in old oil. They try to make this place upscale but let's be real, you're on northern Blvd!!

I will not go back here and do not recommend it to anyone!

  8. LOUD LOUD LOUD… ok for the evening if you are going for drinks and to party but for Brunch… yikes! we were a table of 12 and we had the idea of catching up with one another… no chance.
Food, was ok not great. They had a spread of all different meats. But all very heavy food.
Staff was friendly and they didn't rush us off. However, when i called to see if there was room for a table of 12, the hostes said no that they were packed. When we arrived the place was just starting to get patrons in. Once we were in side, we noticed this place is massive. So yes, there was room… not sure why say there wasn't. Would I come back, not really. But not a bad place. Just rather be able to talk to friends and have a variety of food that is not so heavy for brunch.
