  1. After visiting Miss Lily's in the Village I decided to give this location a try. I enjoyed the food and figured I'd take my lady. The atmosphere is inviting. Easily one of those places you find yourself in for hours just to take it all in. The music, the lighting, it's just all just right.

I ordered the Frozen Dark & Stormy and my lady ordered Lily's punch. We are no stranger to Rum Punch and $13 is entirely too much for a premade concoction you pour out of a water jug. It was tasty and made exactly like restaurants across Crown Heights and Brooklyn. No wow factor for the price. My Frozen Dark and Stormy was frozen ginger beer and a shot of dark rum on the top, needless to say it too was meh. It seems this place cuts corners a lot. For food I grabbed some cod fritters and fries, food was okay. Portions were pretty small. Despite all, I would look past it all if we had great service. We sat at the bar where two bartenders were just lost on who would help us. No interaction with them and my lady and I enjoy chemistry with owners, servers, anybody working at the restaurant really.

I probably won't be back but I would suggest anyone in large groups looking for a great atmosphere to go. Grab a pitcher and it should be just fine

  2. The food is GREAT and this place is overall just so fun!! The decor is diner-esque and the music makes this place a great time!!!

  3. I was actually surprised that the food here was authentic Jamaican food. It was actually really good. I'll definitely return. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and peas and rice. It was really tasty.

  4. This place is awesome!! The restaurant itself has a great vibe, and we were seated pretty quickly on a Saturday night. Please order the jerk chicken, holy yum you will not regret it. This is the best chicken I have ever had, I was licking my fingers it was that good. Cocktails are a little expensive but strong, and waitstaff is fun and attentive. Definitely recommend this place!

  5. Had the jerk chicken with jerk fries as a side. The jerk fries were awesome. Perfectly spiced. The chicken however was not so good. Really dry and burnt in some areas. Much of it really didn't have much flavor at all.  Definitely do not recommend the chicken.

We came on a Friday night, and it was busy. But we got a table within 10 minutes. Fast service. Not so good chicken.

  6. Updating as I have now been here for brunch as well.

Still 5 stars! Brunch was delicious

    – they take reservations! Even for small parties! Which we all know is a rarity in NYC when it comes to brunch. I recommend making a reservation as the place filled up pretty quickly. You can do it online so it's super easy and you don't even have to talk to anyone!

    – service was great as always. Brunch menu is innovative- creative takes on brunch staples like callaloo omelet and coconut pancakes.

    – food was amazing

    – music is always great

    – all around fantastic atmosphere

    – they have a "boozy" brunch option- for $15 you get unlimited drinks for an hour. Totally worth it – they were not shy with the refills and the mimosas were so good

  7. Place sucks. Note to manager when you have a bartender that thinks it's ok to spill a full glass of water on you and not even offer to comp you the overpriced drink you just had then you might want to find a new bartender. Anyways the music was good, at least.

  8. I went to Miss Lily's during restaurant week  and impressed wasn't the word to describe how good everything was. The food was aMAZing! I had the spicy shrimp for my appetizer. For my entrée, I had the Jerk chicken and felt like I was in Jamaica! I had no complaints with the food, the service and server was friendly and prompt. My only issue was our appetizers automatically came with the jerked corn but were later told we had to request the corn even though it was written on the menu that it automatically came with appetizers so we only received one ear of corn initially. But it was worth the wait for the 2nd one

Overall great experience and the music really set the mood.
