  1. Mykonos has been in Great Neck for as long as I can remember. In fact, I think it's the first place I ever had chicken gyro at many moons ago. Anyway, having not been back for several years my family and I came here for Sunday dinner. It's a no-frills Greek restaurant with pretty good food and a very plain atmosphere. Prices are decent (especially if you do the prix-fixe special menu), and there's a lot of variety.

The standard Greek dips are always good: hummus, eggplant, tzatziki…pita is always served warm, and dessert is complementary. I ordered the octopus appetizer as my entree and it was decent. Not the best I've had but it satisfied my craving. My mom enjoyed her branzino, my brother enjoyed his gyro, and my father, who ordered the lamb with orzo dish, was stunned win how massive it was and everyone ended up having some of his dinner. It was completely undersalted, but that's nothing a salt shaker can't fix.

Anyway, I would've given Mykonos a 4-star review…until we received the bill. They actually had the nerve to write "CASH," on the line where you write your tip amount! Who does that? Maybe make a note saying you prefer tips in cash but don't blatantly write it for us! We tipped by credit card, since it was all we had.
