  1. Finally I understand why it is always busy whenever I pass  by it…..

Like: good service, delicious food with good selection of dishes, warm heart feeling atmosphere

Dislike: nothing in particular, but a little more room between tables would have be nice.

We came here without reservation but was lucky to get a table thanks to someone's last minute cancellation. We were in hurry because we were going to catch a movie, so they managed to get us the 3 course menu in 1 hour, we were please and impressed.

There were two of us and each of us choose  3 course menu, it was a really good deal, only $35 each. Our mains were lamb and roasted cod, strongly recommended!

Our waiter was also really nice and helpful, it was overall pleasant experience!

  2. The perfect meal for ending the night right after seeing Das Rheingold opera at Lincoln Center! The wait staff was efficient, attentive, and friendly, making sure to spark light yet witty conversation as we waited for our entrees, and giving us honest opinions and suggestions for dessert.

Everything we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend the beef tripe appetizer that's made with tomato base, making the tripe soft, savory, and full of flavor. I had the steak for my entrée and it was grilled perfectly although there was nothing particularly special about the seasoning. For the dessert, I tried the Lemon Almond Torta and Tartufo. The almond torta was delicious with a strong citrus flavor, but my favorite is definitely the tartufo with it's unique, thick, creamy texture and thick cocoa flavor.

I had a great meal here and would definitely love to come back! Especially since they do have a grand prix fixe menu!

  3. This place is a fun little place to have a good meal.  The menu changes so you can never be sure they will have the same thing, but the staff is very helpful and able to let you know what they recommend. I recommend the Penne. The backstory behind the amazing Penne  is apparently Nick and Toni met in Italy where they were struggling to get by and they always went to this one restaurant and had the Penne, so when they came back to the states and opened this place, they added it to the menu. It was so good! Thanks for reading and enjoy.

  4. This is a neighborhood joint I've never been to but I was pleasantly surprised.  Our pizza with cheese, ham and arugula was good.  I planned to have 1 piece and ended up having 2.  My warm cauliflower salad wasn't warm but it was good.  My cavatelli was al dente and delicious.  I asked they keep the salt down and they kindly accommodated my request.  My friend's penne was okay, but I thought the sauce was a little too sweet.  I love panna cotta but this one was more like a pudding with mushed grapefruit on top.  I would come back for the savory meals.  While the atmosphere was average, I enjoyed the food and service.
