  1. Horchata's and Chicharron de poll con tostones!

Nuria's restaurant serves up some really tasty El Salvador cuisine. Whether if their food is considered authentic to people from El Salvador, that's for them to decide but for me, I found their food delicious! It's a short walk away from Jamaica Hospital. The first thing we ordered was their horchata beverage. It's a beverage that taste like grounded almonds, hints of sesame seeds, and strong on barley and rice. It reminds me of flavors from a Japanese or a Korean barley tea. It's very refreshing.

The chicken chicharrons is the main event here. It is extremely crispy and tender when they serve it. Every bite has a crunch to it. You also must order their yucca frita. It has a crispy crunchy skin texture and they don't salt them. It's purposely made bland so that you could salt them yourself to your own liking. We also ordered their pupusas. It was very good especially with their green hot sauce!

The service was great, there's plenty of seating and finding parking wasn't too difficult in this section of Jamaica Ave. I highly recommend trying the horchata and their chicharrons for your first visit. It's worth it!
