This place is pretty nice to go in and study in, but the temperature of the rooms were kind of ridiculous. It wasn't air conditioned when I went, but the owner had 2 fans going. It was bearable for me, but it might not be for others so keep that in mind. I haven't gone during the winter months so I'm not sure how they are with the heat. I used the public study room and each desk has a personal overhead light, but it was still a bit too dim for me. Overall, it was a decent place to study, but it wasn't one of the best places I've been to. The individual desks were too small and dimly lit for my tastes.
I used this place as paid quiet forced reading time, but there're many many other uses:
* traditionally their clients are Korean students who want a credible, reliable study cubicle
* some use it as a quiet version of Starbucks like me
* others use it as a language learning center due to their forced studying & language social programs
* mainly, it's a very warm wonderful atmosphere in which to study
I think of it as a student version of WeWork (the startup co-working place). They've copious coffee (though I never drink coffee due to a health condition) & superbly reliable WiFi. Its location on the far southeastern edge of KTown makes it close enough for convenience & good for post-studying socializing/eating. A wonderful idea, I hope they're making a profit so it stays. Looks it given my seeing them here for 3 years.
