After a long day of wine tasting, I wasn't in a condition to walk far or board a subway and since Octavia's had juuuuust opened, I decided to pop in for dinner.
The menu is small, which I can appreciate. Too many choices can be overwhelming and lead to food FOMO. I decided on the pork ribs and chose sweet potato mash as my side. I added a second side of sauteed kale because after what I'd done to my body at the wineries, I needed some greens.
The pork ribs were a good portion, flavored well, and though a bit messy, I enjoyed the sauce they were tossed in. Unfortunately, they were overcooked.
The sweet potato mash was great and went well with the ribs. The kale was kale.
I also had a glass of the malbec, which I didn't love. The wine menu doesn't really describe the flavors/fullness of the wine, so I chose something I've had before and wasn't impressed.
The space is really cute and the staff was nice. I think I spied a backyard? I'll definitely come back when they've been open longer and worked out the kinks, but this first visit was a little disappointing.
