  1. I ordered on seamless – the delivery took over an hour, which I was not happy about.

The sushi was actually really good. I had a ginza roll and a cali with crab salad on top.

I would consider ordering again, but only if their delivery issue gets fixed.

  2. First off, I'll mention the disclaimer that this review is mainly for delivery since I order from Osaka quite often on Seamless, but haven't eaten in the restaurant for a while.
As far as delivery goes, Osaka is a great place. Although not outstanding, the food is always good. However, the prices are fair and delivery service is always top-notch.
The combination of service and quality make this my go to delivery place for sushi, but this wouldn't be my first choice if I was going to dine in, especially when I'm willing to travel a bit.

  3. We order from here regularly and recently finally had a chance to eat in.

Delivery is generally fast and they have never gotten any of our many orders wrong. The delivery guy is super friendly.

They are clean, friendly and have a spacious dining area. We brought in outside beverages and they didn't mind (in fact, our waiter laughed and said the place we ordered from was delicious).

We dined in once, and although one of our guests was being slightly difficult, the staff still remained calm and friendly.

We look forward to coming back and will continue to order their delivery.

  4. This restaurant is very clean, with a friendly staff. It took a while for my take out order but I didn't mind the wait because my food was made to order and fresh. The sushi with very good and taste very fresh. The edamames where cooked just right with just the right amount of salt. The staff was friendly.

  5. It's really hard to gauge how good a sushi place is when there's one every 2 blocks within a 2 mile radius. Fortunately, I have friends around the area that can vouch for the freshness of Osaka.

Seating was plentiful on a weekday lunch time. I got the 3 roll lunch special. The futo maki was alright (I didn't think carrots belong in futo maki, but to each their own). Kani Tempura was delicious.

Great service, fresh sushi, definitely my go-to sushi place in Astoria now.

  6. I've been coming here for a while and I also order from them to my house. They always have such nice presentation on their food and I've never ate anything that wasn't good! I do like their specialty rolls! Try the "Osaka Roll" if you stop by. This visit – I didn't get a specialty roll, I got one of their lunch boxes which is great because they give you just enough food to fill you up and it's not as much as a dinner portion per say. I got the beef teriyaki lunch box which was delicious. I also ordered a Kani salad which I usually get at any sushi place if they offer it. I think they might have switched chef's though here because lately it has too much mayo in it. But still good. Also the place itself is very clean and cozy. The only thing that sucks is the ongoing construction on the building above so it's kind of hidden underneath a scaffold and it's been that way for a while now. Probably a year now I'd say. So you might walk right past it if you're not paying attention.

  7. Three stars for great food!

Location is in a busy area on Broadway in Astoria.Parking is hard to find and there are meters. You either double park or have someone wait in the car.
I was in the area for training and I craved sushi for lunch so I decided to give this place a try.
The ambience was beautiful and calm.
I was greeted nicely and a lady took my order however it was my first time ordering sushi from a restaurant and not just grabbing what I wanted from a buffet as I usually do.
I explained that to the cashier but unfortunately she wasn't helpful and called another guy over.
He rushed my order despite me asking questions. That turned me off.
It's so unfortunate because the food is great.
I will definitely come back due to the taste of the food and hope for better customer service.

  8. I came here on Saturday night since it had gotten good reviews on Yelp and I was in the area. I didnt like it, the rolls werent rolled right.
I doubt I will be coming back here again.
