  1. as expected for an outback – same layout, same menu, same food, and same service. we just happened to be in the area and craving some chain steak. This is a good restaurant to try if you're looking for smaller sized portions of steak with plenty of choices for sides. and of course, you can't go wrong with the variety of drinks they serve 🙂

  2. I pop in here once in a blue moon, so tonight I appropriately get… A Blue Moon.

Got a half order of the Aussie fries (can easily pass as a full order at other restaurants; I couldn't finish it), and an Outland salad (a cross between chicken salad and a Cobb salad). The salad was uninspired, and had way too much shredded cheese on it. BUT, Steffan (?spelling, gotta give the guy props) takes care of his regulars–even infrequenters like me.  So the salad no longer felt like a pricey mistake.

Plus, the guy is hilarious – to an annoying customer who asked me to move one seat down for no apparent reason (???), he refused to shake his hands.  "don't wanna rub off my hand sanitizer, otherwise I gotta wash my hands again."
(haha, I gotta try that line sometime)

  3. There was one huge downfall of Outback that bothered my boyfriend and I the ENTIRE time I was there. There was a lamp hanging from the booth that was SO bright and in our faces that our eyes hurt the entire meal. The best way to describe it would be one of those detective lamps that they use when they say "where were you on the night of…?!?" That's not exactly my idea of a romantic date… Hahaha. We chose to try to ignore it instead of switch tables, which was impossible! So don't make the same mistake we did.

Other than that, I enjoyed my experience at Outback for the most part. They start each table with a warm soft loaf of pumpernickel bread with whipped butter. I think it's safe to say we are the entire thing within less than 1 minute of it being at the table;) and of course asked for another.

I ordered the 6oz outback sirloin with mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. I was so impressed when looking at the bill and my meal was only $11.99!

Hands down my favorite part was the garlic mashed potatoes–seriously loved them. I was so close to passing on the mashed potatoes to be a little healthier and order extra veggies. Ahhhh, thank god I didn't! Although I enjoyed my sirloin and mushrooms, I was disappointed that both were spicy. I tolerate spicy food, but don't like it whatsoever. I have no idea why they'd even make those 2 items spicy in the first place.

As for the service, it was fast and we liked our sever very much. It was a little awkward with her taking our orders near the insanely bright light at our table though. I could barely even see her face…. Hahaha.

Overall, I'd come back to Outback. It's great for a cheap steak dinner! Next time I'd definitely ask for a different table if I'm seated at those booths again and I'll ask which foods are spicy before ordering.

  4. The Hot Honey Wheat Bread is the best, served with whipped butter.
Best appetizers are the Kookabura wings & Bloomin Onion…
I usually order my steaks well done..but my friends tell me if you want
your steak pretty pink in the middle, order medium well.
Alice Springs Chicken is my favorite!  2 Grilled Chicken with Crispy Bacon on top and Melted Cheddar Cheese…Nice environment to dine, if you like it dim…its not bright in there at all.

  5. It's a good steak accompanied by usually very good service, especially in terms of making substitutions and other meal accommodations.  I found their flexibility in making changes to our order outstanding.

Everything came out cooked to order.  As a casual, chain steakhouse Outback is right up there.

Biggest and probably only complaint was that the coffee was quite weak.  Our server brought us out new cups but that too was weak.

  6. This is a great Outback location. The service can sometimes be spotty depending on the time/day, but definitely not a big problem or factor. Outback is great for what it offers- $10 steak with sides and complimentary bread! I don't know what much could be said. Sometimes, they have great specials, a 3 course meal for $12, and even surf and turf for $15! I think it's a great deal for what it's worth. You can't come here and expect your steak to come out like it would from Peter Luger or Steakhouse 85.

  7. Good location!
Honestly, I don't like the chain, I never loved the restaurant and much rather prefer another dining destination.
With that said, this location rocks! All the servers are great and actually do their job well. For a cheaper steakhouse, they have great deals and the chefs know how to cook a mean medium rare filet.
The great service and the deals is why I go back.

I won't ever go to another location besides this one. They literally rock here
