  1. English tudor decor & throwback to Tad's steakhouse. This is a fun alternative to the local rice & beans joints.

    Plusses:
Steaks cooked to order on a flaming grill
Delish, giant baked potato and salad(iceberg) come with order
Cheap- $10.99 for a sirloin steak with potato and salad
Steak was perfectly cooked and had a bone in
    Clean bathroom

    Minuses:
    Everything is extra like:
    Fried onions
    Collards were definitely frozen
Salad was not too fresh and ice-berg
Fatty(not in a good way) lower end steak cuts

Otherwise, fun old school a la Tad's experience where you can order your food cafeteria style and bring it to a nice spacious table to have a sitdown meal. $16.31

  2. Pee Dee's is an awesome and casual, inviting spot to get your meat cravings filled. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Fillet (2 piece) Sandwich meal, which came with a baked potato. The sandwich looked a bit bare to me when it came out (it's made up of the hamburger buns and the chicken pieces), but it tastes much better than it looks. Once I went beyond that initial impression of the sandwich, I increasingly enjoyed it.

This spot is definitely spacious, and I love that it's inviting and relaxed. One of the staff workers behind the counter helpfully explained how I could order my food from the table or counter, since I asked as a first-timer to the spot. The wall in the back devoted to Michael Jackson was so great to see, and I'm glad there's a TV in the back too– I only wish there were more TVs spread throughout the eatery, so that people don't have to go towards the back if they want to tune into a show or watch a sports game.

Walking in, I was wondering how the staff workers and other customers would respond to me, since I'm from outside the neighborhood and a first-timer at the restaurant. I'm glad I asked the staff worker on the spot how things worked and that I was a first-timer, because he was pretty receptive and friendly about that. I'm happy with the experience I had at Pee Dee's, and whenever I visit Harlem it'll be on my radar!

  3. I'm so glad that I decided to walk down 125th St en route to my destination or else I wouldn't have stumbled across this gem in the middle of the block between 5th Ave and Lenox Ave. There are several things that I liked about this place, but my favorite would be the ability to see your meal prepared right in front of your eyes. The man behind the counter was very nice and quite friendly, and so was the rest of the staff.

PD is the abbreviation for Pee Dee. My son and I ordered the chicken fingers lunch which came with the following choices, baked potato or rice, salad or coleslaw and garlic bread. The chicken wings choices are buffalo, BBQ, grilled teriyaki, applewood BBQ or fry. There are several surf and turf items available and several house combos for your liking. The prices are reasonably priced and I believe the food is worth it.

The salad was really good as well. They gave a real salad and not a salad of just lettuce. The food was very good and it was enough to satisfy you. I will definitely come back to PD Steak II to dine again. My dining experience was great!

  4. This is one of those quick fast food steak places.  Good place to go if you're lazy and don't want to cook diner.  Cheap way to get some steak.  The place was well air-conditioned.  The people servicing you were polite.  I felt that this place was better than Tad's Steak, another "fast food" steak place.

  5. Pretty good!  I'm very happy I tried this.  My steak was alright – there were some crunchy red parts in it that I found kind of weird, but I'll definitely be back to try the fried chicken.  They have $4 wine in bottles.  That's the best deal ever.  I liked the atmosphere and that it's so close to some of Harlem's best dives.
