This location gets very busy during week days lunch! But the staff is very organized and does not seem to get frustrated with the large crowd of costumers, which is very nice.
Service time: fairly quick considering how busy the store gets
Stumbled on this place on a lunch break and I can't say no to a good sandwich! The got me in with the enticing pictures of the grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich. It did not disappoint! The bread was my favorite part – it was delicious! And very reasonably priced. It's true about the portions, when I saw how small my sandwich was I was pretty upset. But it actually filled me up (that said I'm a pretty small female). Next time I'm gonna try one of their milk shakes (only $3!)
This outpost of the Potbelly Sandwich Shop chain offers friendly, fast service and consistently delicious food. Like most of its sister shops, this one is crazy busy during lunchtime, especially with all the federal buildings nearby. And the interior is quite small, so don't count on being able to "eat in."
Really cheap sandwiches, okay taste. Much better than subway's, but a lot smaller than subway's as well. A good selection of sandwiches and lots of staff working behind the counter that make the extremely long line during lunch time move actually quite fast. Located right across from the park which makes a great sandwich sharing place on a nice summer day.
Met up with a couple folks over at Pot Belly today for lunch. I had been to a PB once before and remember it being quite good. But that was a few years ago and before the brand moved into NYC… today's experience was different than I remember.
I ordered up a Grilled Chicken & Cheddar (sliced chicken breast with cheddar cheese) and added lettuce and mustard. For the cost of a sandwich (regular is $6.50) I was disappointed that there wasn't more there… as in – there was not enough meat at all. And take note folks – we're not talking a whole chicken cutlet – we're talking deli slices of what was once a chicken cutlet. And there just wasn't much in there. I know lettuce is considerably cheaper than chicken but I don't need that much of it. And I wish they had put a bit more mustard inside – there was a lot of bread and not enough mustard to cover it. :-/
I'm not saying I'll never go back to PB – the bread was good & toasted, the staff was friendly, there are plenty of options for drinks and snacks, and their cookies look pretty darn good – but maybe next time I'll try another of their sandwiches or just splurge for the bigger sandwich.
In absolute love with Potbelly. Used to eat from this chain back in my Baltimore days over six years ago. Can't recall any other reason why they wouldn't deserve five stars. No line, ordered quickly, received my food quickly. They now have a larger sized sammich. They make me happy (:
The quest for a jury duty lunch break spot is still on-going, and Potbelly? Eh. S'alright. No real complaints from me.
After Andy's Deli, I looked across the street and saw Potbelly, my (soon to be discovered as icky) roast beef sandwich in a brown paper bag in my hand already. Decided to make it my next stop.
I suppose I was expecting something extraordinary and unique…and I came in and discovered a pretty decent menu. There is a "build your own sandwich" option coupled with some pretty typical sandwich fare. I opted for the Mediterranean Sandwich, chock full of hummus, cucumber, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, and feta cheese. For $6+ dollars, it's a bit small, but absolutely filling. I wish the artichoke hearts were chopped a bit smaller and there was less red pepper, but it was tasty regardless. The feta gave it a nice salty kick.
I'd definitely come back and try their other options! I'm having faith that I can find a decent lunch in that area of town now.
Okay place. Does the job for a quick lunch, but it's not necessarily anything special. You choose your bread, meat and cheese, and it gets all toastified for you, before you choose your additions. They have plenty of suggested combinations, but you can always create your own concoction as well.
Sandwiches are around $6 which is pretty reasonable, but they are also on the small side. I think it's a good size for lunch, but I can see why people would complain about the size – especially in ratio to the cost. They do however, have options that can please anyone — meat lovers or vegetarians alike, and you can even make it 30 percent bigger for an additional cost.
I like that they have "Skinny" options which are sandwiches all under 350 calories.
They also do soups, salad and smoothies. The salads are so disappointing to me because they're not made to order, but sitting in their pre-made sadness. They don't look so great, especially for almost 8 dollars.
The service is good. The girls working are friendly and fast.
