  1. I really enjoyed this bar!  A cozy spot to get together and have a drink with a big group.  They've got some great seasonal/local beers on tap and their cocktails are certainly not weak.  The wait staff is attentive and all have a good sense of humor.  Would definitely go back for a Thursday night get-together, but this is definitely a more laid back night out type of spot.

  2. I really enjoyed this lively bar in the Greenwich Village area bordering SoHo. Only reviewing for weekend drinks, but it was a super fun spot with friends. We were lucky enough to a grab a corner booth area near the front and just hung out for most of the night. Our waitress was really nice. Great selection of cocktails and some decent craft beer options, too!

It got pretty loud but not too much that I couldn't hear my group. Probably related to the Duke-UNC march madness game everyone was watching. All in all, a fun watering hole.

  3. If ever in need for a private party or event. I recommend looking at Rogue & Canon. Our group reserved a few tables at Rogue & Canon for New Years Eve. What I liked best besides the large drink selection, was that the bouncer manned the door to keep the crowds manageable. This was highly appreciative on a night that can get out of hand really quickly. The noise was loud, but what bar isn't on New Years Eve. The service was on point at both the tables and the bar and we never had to wait too long. I didn't have any food at Rogue & Canon, but several tables around us had color pickle plates delivered. Great place to ring in the New Year and any night!

  4. This place has a great quality in that is it well-equipped to comfortably handle large group gatherings at night (never been for brunch). Many people have this same insight, and thus it can and will get loud inside (I couldn't really hear/remember the music, if that's something that's important to you). Just a fair warning: conversing with the person sitting next to you will most likely involve both parties yelling. There could be secrets galore being shared by other patrons here, and no one else would notice because you're still repeating your name to the new friend you've met. But, I guess all the yelling did not really affect our group much, because we still managed to sing/scream our hearts out to System of a Down's Chop Suey at a karaoke bar after visiting Rogue & Canon, lol.

  5. Can only rate on ambience and beer but Rogue seems like a nice hang out spot. Decor is very rustic with cool mood lighting and a huge wall of liquor behind the bar. Our server was very polite and helpful in helping us choose a good beer. I did notice they have a relatively small food menu but nice size cocktail menu.

  6. Dropped in for a drink post-dinner and they were busy – crowded with hooks all over, and the young NYU / SoHo crowd inside. The bartenders, when you can reach them, are fun and the drinks like the pickleback aren't bad. Loud music, usually some mix of the popular 80s-90s, with some random country hits thrown in-between. Lots of people talking loudly, though, so practically hoarse after the night out.

  7. We arrived on a Monday night for a nightcap, and the drinks were taking quite awhile. But our super friendly server brought over complimentary spiced nuts (YUM), and then a complimentary spiced whiskey shot. Which, I have to admit, was AMAZING. The ambiance is super cozy and we sat in a small nook by the window. I'm definitely returning for a nightcap again soon…

  8. Nice atmosphere.  Odd music choices….like 1940's.  Only had drinks here, but was nice to sit by the open windows on a nice day.  Good place to stop for a drink.
