  1. The food was very good, the Paella Marinera was impressive.  Love the tropical Sangria.  They would have gotten five stars if it weren't that the waiter forgot one item that we ordered.  Other than that, everything was very delightful.

  2. What a hidden gem located in Jamaica, Queens!

Friendly customer service. I have been here a few times for lunch with coworkers and tonight for Happy Hour.

For lunch, I have tried the Sangria Salad topped with Chicken and Shrimp another time. The salad is fresh mixed greens with a basil vinaigrette sauce. Obviously, salads are pretty much the same on the vegetable side. Not here! The Sangria salad comes with slices of fresh apple, toasted glazed walnuts (WOW!), and feta cheese (I personally take it out). The Grilled Chicken was fresh off the grill, still hot, and very tender. It was a thin fillet cut into pieces. Very fresh tasting and it works very well with the rest of the salad ingredients. The Grilled Shrimp topping is not bad neither! Same thing, fresh of the grill!

Tonight, my entire office came down to Sangria to bid a farewell Happy Hour for one our coworkers. The staff was very diligent in setting up the table for us and all ready for us. We were here for the $5.00 tapas and the White Sangria. Calamari is very flavorful and more to the salty side – tastes great!

I had chicken empanadas and they were stuffed with meat! Very impressed with that! Add a bit of salsa or hot sauce to make it even more perfect. The Sangrias here were very strong! A lot of other Yelpers acknowledged this – you guys were right! You are definitely getting your money's worth with the alcohol. Fresh fruits in the sangria – oranges, apples, etc. I just wish they cut them just a little smaller!

Overall, a great experience and very good spot for lunch or Happy Hour. Sangria just rolled out their lunch special menu which has daily specials & now a longer list of tapas! Check them out!

  3. This review is based on food I ordered for delivery.
Its down the street from ym house and you could tell, they cam ein fifteen minutes. I ordered on a night that I was starving and everything else was clsoed.

I ordered calamari, chewy and not very flavorful, however the marinara sauce was tasty.
The delivery guy was very friendly and said I should come in for drinks and told me about their entertainment lineup, still don't think I will check it out.

  4. I don't come to Jamaica often, living in Brooklyn and working in Manhattan, but when I was here last week to see a friend, I'm so glad he knew to recommend Sangria. From the moment I walked in to the warm, inviting interior I knew I'd enjoy myself…just the fact that it wasn't too cold for me was a nice change from a lot of otherwise nice restaurants! It only got better when we got our drinks and food. I ordered the eponymous sangria, which was really good, and my friend ordered a Spanish imported beer that they had on draft. We shared a Caesar salad, which was generously sized and very fresh and flavorful. We also each got a tortilla vegetariana, which was as tasty as it looked, the vegetables all properly cooked and full of flavor. Mine was actually too much for me with the salad, meaning I had a nice sandwich for lunch the next day with the leftovers 🙂 I didn't get any dessert, but my friend got a churro with ice cream, and he liked that a lot too. The service was very friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal, and there was a nice hum of conversation, laughter and eating the whole time. A casual, good-feeling kind of place with food that delivers and very reasonable prices.
