Seattle Cafe

“I live right around the corner from this place, and definitely think that it is passable for breakfast or a quick coffee.”

“Plus the women behind the register are always very friendly, and even when it's busy and I'm ordering a freshly made smoothie, I never wait more than about 10 minutes tops.”

“No complaints here, and Groupon often has a $5 for $9 credit at Seattle Cafe that you can use until 5pm.”

  1. Im staying at Mt Sinai for some testing so i heard from some people that this place was good. I walked in and it was dead! In the back all the food looked like it was sitting out for days but i wasn't getting that I wanted a burger. I waited patiently for my turn and told the guy my order and watched him carefully put a COOKED BURGER on the grill. So he gave me some story that they pre cook it put it in the fridge and when someone orders it they heat it up. Umm no thanks! You would think with all the places to eat around here they would try to cook the freshest and tastiest food to get the most business. If your to lazy to cook a fresh patty then forget it. I would never eat here. Left and went 2 ft somewhere else thats CLEAN AND HAS FRESH FOOD!!

  2. My review would be a 4 star if not 5 if it wasn't my experience this morning. I have been coming to seattle since the summer of 2011. Its a great grab and go place, and they make really good breakfast sandwiches. Whenever I can't make a good breakfast myself, I end up stopping here before going to work. I am a regular to say the least.

Today, I went in to grab something small, just to hold me over until lunch – so I went with the pound cake. The total came up to be 2.45. This being completely over priced (I had expected nothing more than $2 for a piece of cake) I was short 20 cents. I kindly asked the cashier, who rings me up every time I come in if she could spare me 20 cents. She hesitated and so I offered that I could just charge it but I don't have 20 cents. She immediately said "you can charge it".

Is it just me or is there something wrong with that? If you're running a business where you see customers come in on a regular basis, doesn't it seem like proper service to spare someone when they're short on some chump change. Regardless, I charged the pound cake made with gold flakes and will never go back again.

I don't mind walking a little farther to get some breakfast if that means I am appreciated for my business.

Just as a side note: the pound cake is really good, guess thats a plus to this horrible start of a day.

  3. Blah chicken cajun wrap, but yummy mangosteen smoothie. They often have groupons.

  4. I thought I wrote a review of this cafe. I've been in here a lot but forget to check in. The best time is early when they open. The coffee is decent. The place is always clean even during busy lunch time.
I've asked them about sandwiches. So far I haven't cared for the bread choices they have for a sandwich. I'm addicted to the muffins. A muffin and small coffee is $3.75. For NYC that's a deal. The muffins are big enough to make a breakfast meal. I'll be trying other flavors. I think I'm burned out on the green in the pistachio!  The texture is like sponge cake. I've never been a fan of sponge cake. I do love pistachios!
Highly recommend this cute cafe if you live or work in the neighborhood!!

  5. Ordering lunch with coworkers has the ability to cheer me up no matter what excrement is hitting the fan at work. Since I rarely leave my desk, it's important to me that a place takes my order efficiently and delivers without errors. The sandwiches have great combos of ingredients. So far, my fav is the chicken club. The avocado sandwich was a bit dull in comparison. And for a really hectic work day, nothing beats a smoothie. Well, maybe a margarita.

  6. I love their smoothie selections, and how you could pick a different type of "booster" to supplement your drink.

I got their strawberry banana yogurt smoothie (forgot the actual name) with their protein booster and was full for the rest of the day.

I got their large, which comes in a humongous cup. The drink was blended perfectly, with just the right amount of crushed ice throughout. They also use fresh fruit, so you know you're getting the best.

  7. If you  work in the area Seattle is a safe choice. This place is def my go to place when I can't make up my mind for lunch. The food and prices are both decent. Burgers are a hit or miss. Sometimes it tastes amazing with the grilled/charcoal taste I like, sometimes it's bland. I love their curly fries, chicken fajita panini and breakfast sandwiches. The salad is not worth $8-10 so skip it.

  8. I really like Seattle Cafe for the quick grab and go meal.  I can only attest to their breakfast sandwiches and their salads, both of which are good.

The salads in particular are a reasonable deal.  6 topping salads for $6.95 or $7.95 depending on whether you get the large or small.  If you're okay with 4 toppings its even cheaper.  I've also tried the oriental chicken salad which was not bad.

The salad comes with a roll, which sometimes I have to ask for. The rolls are hit or miss, but I enjoy them once I've toasted them and put butter on it.

The employees are always friendly and helpful.

    I'll be back.
