  1. This is one of the best sushi spots I've been to in my life. The lunch buffet is a great price and has a real nice selection. I'm definitely  come back here with my wife. The monster roll was to die for.

  2. $20 all you can eat here.  Like all the other AYCE places in Brooklyn, the cooked food is more appetizing than the sushi itself.  The sashimi appetizer platter should not be ordered since the fish are near frozen.  The must try thing here are the bbq items and the spicy salmon tartare.

  3. I'm used to AYCE sushi places in Queens, so this place didn't impress me at all. When we first entered, we saw no one – only customers. We had to make our presence known by walking to the booth where all the waitresses were sitting at. Now, I'm thinking… "great." We were seated at a table where there were no plates or forks, although accompanied with an almost-empty soy sauce bottle. We had to ask for everything, literally every single item. That was a disappointment.

The menu was impressive for a small place like this but the quality of the food was not good. The tempura dishes were soggy and the udon noodles did not look appetizing. We also ordered three different types of rolls and some sushi. The presentation of the food made me not want to eat at all. It was sloppy and everything looked old. I really did not enjoy the cold rice used for the sushi either. Due to the ridiculous policy that they have – charge $1 for every piece of food left on the table – I had to force everything down my throat. Although, in the end, I gave up and was charged extra.

I don't think I'll be returning to this place. Many changes need to be made,

  4. Quite an disappointing experience for me, perhaps I'm just not used to these type of All you can eat sushi places where you order off the menu instead of go up and get the food yourself.

At $13.95 for lunch it does seem quite like a nice deal at first sight but honestly their food I thought weren't really all that fresh and tasty. I personally liked the special rolls more probably because it's deep fried. The shrimps I thought were decent but the fish and chicken I've tried left me hoping for better.

When we got here we were the only table so I expected our food to come pretty quickly but really probably took them at least 15-20 min for our first plate to come. Through out the meal there were few missed orders that we ended up just asking for more and quite a bit of going back and forth. Personally its probably not a good system with just checking off the items as it seems the chefs could miss them especially later on when there are more patrons coming in.

One positive note is that even though they posted a 90 min meal limit we ended up staying pretty long probably 2+ hours mostly because while we're waiting for the next set of orders we would have not much to do but look at menu and check off more items haha.

In the end we were pretty full and pricing was it is a good deal but for the amount of the wait and the food quality I would personally rather pay more to places like nori nori where I can eat at my own pace for the all you can eat sushi experience.

  5. $19.99 AYCE dinner.

You get 2 sheets of options to check off: hot foods and sushi/rolls.

Their options are limited; not as good as other AYCE sushi places but still decent. They had a limit of 2 uni sushi, which was sad. They have lots of sushi and rolls but no sashimi except for the sashimi appetizer (6 pieces; limit of 1 order only!). It was pretty fresh. Their shrimp tempura was amazing, crisp to perfection. The "Japanese BBQ" selection were all seasoned with the same seasoning, so they all tasted the same; I could do without the seasoning… just give me the meat/corn/whatever!

Also, dessert is not included in AYCE…

For the price, the quality and amount of food was okay. Service was also okay; I'm happy they came around to refill our tea.

I would come back! But maybe for their regular menu.

  6. Seems everyone just comes here for the AYCE, so what did we do? Bingo! Came here for the AYCE lunch special. For $13.95, we felt there was nothing to lose since it's the cheapest (and really only) AYCE sushi restaurant in the area.

We came here on President's Day at about 12:30pm and the restaurant was completely empty. Not a single customer. Pro: We had the whole restaurant/service to ourselves Con: What does that say about the food?. Knowing the area really well, we knew these circumstances were due to the fact no one really dines in in the area on a weekday in the afternoon so we were less worried about the food quality.

The AYCE menu was pretty decent for the price point. There were soups/salads, appetizers, tempura/teriyaki, sushi, sushi hand or regular rolls and special rolls. We grabbed a pencil and began marking down our selections. We basically went all out on the sushi and also ordered a few other dishes. Here's our overall thoughts:

Sushi – We ordered at least 1 of every type of sushi you could order here. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The pieces weren't enormous, which bodes well for those who fill up fast on rice.

Special Rolls – We ordered 1 Monster Roll, which came in 6 pieces. We really liked the flavor of it, but the pieces were HUGE so beware of ordering special rolls. You can easily fill up fast on these bad boys!

Tempura – We ordered the Shrimp Tempura (at the recommendation of Elsie W.) and the order came with 2 pieces. The tempura was really fried to perfection! It wasn't overly fried, but was very crispy and we loved the fried flakes on it. A definite must-try here!

The only downside to the AYCE was that there was no Sashimi offered. That was a small bummer, but for what we paid and the quality of the sushi, we didn't have many complaints. We were surprised at just how good it actually was! I'm not sure if we would ever come here for dinner since it's more expensive at $19.95, but there is no doubt we will be coming back here for lunch!

  7. This sushi restaurant you can order a la carte from their menu or you can have the all you can eat dinner for ($19.95). We opted for the AYCE menu. Some of the items you must order are the ones that have a limit. You can only get one sashimi appetizer with 6 pieces sashimi, only two sweet shrimp sushi, and only two sea urchin sushi. The fish here is pretty fresh. The sweet shrimp sushi and sea urchin are good. They have a lot of special rolls, but you can't try them all unless you have a large group. I recommend ordering a couple at a time so you don't over order. The only downfall here is the rice. It taste like regular rice and was a little on the hard side. For sushi one of the most important ingredient is the rice. This place could've been a lot better if they made better rice. Lastly, I checked in on yelp and got free ice cream. Yay!

  8. All You Can Eat sushi for just $20!! Seriously you just CAN'T beat that deal anywhere. I know, I know this part of Brooklyn is very much out of the way for most people, but still it is soooo worth it. My companion & I came here specifically to get the all-you-can-eat special. Be forewarned however, this place definitely gets crowded, and even when you get a table service can be a bit slow to get to you because its just that busy. Still, when the food comes out its all worth it trust me! We both ordered pretty much every roll off the menu including the Golden Dragon Roll, some kind of fried fish tempura with cream cheese roll, and the Dancing Eel Roll and more that I didn't even get a chance to jot down. But they were all GREAT. We also ordered a round of BBQ chicken on skewers, which were oohh so savory 🙂
