  1. Still a solid 5 stars. Superb pastry and candies classic French style. But a notable thing aside from food is the business. It's always open, always clean and always has what you want. Hard working staff – diligence shows in everything and judging by fact this place is never empty and seldom has less than 3 customers (usually lots more) many love it.  Having a reliable and great place is great. Don't see both often as it is here.

  2. I stopped into Sook on a recent Saturday afternoon for a coffee and dessert. I was immediately charmed by this small cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, and many folks were hanging out there. The crepes, macaroons and pastries all looked delicious – in the end, I tried the almond croissant and am so glad I did! It was flaky and fresh, and filled with lots of doughy almond flavor.

  3. This place is awesome. Great coffee, great pastries and friendly service. They make amazing almond and chocolate croissants. One bite and you will be hooked for life. Came here with a good friend and we sat at a table outside soaking up the sun and enjoyed an used coffee with a chocolate and almond croissant. He also have French macaroons of all varieties. If I lived in the town of Ridgewood this would be my go to place every morning.

  4. Don't even know how to describe my love for this place. I absolutely love their almond croissant (the best I've ever had), Godwin, and Banana.

I no longer live in Ridgewood but I would go back to visit just for Sook's!!

  5. Came here after dinner with a friend based on the amazing reviews. Upon walking in, the place was poppin' for a Wednesday night! There was a line and probably only 2 available tables left (the place is on the smaller side).

My friends and I got the almond croissant, The Ridgewood, and the cappuccinos. Everything was delicious. However, the almond croissant probably would of tasted better if it was heated up. The almond croissant was crusty on the outside with filling on the inside. The Ridgewood is one of theirs most popular pastries. You get the best of both worlds – it was rich on the outside and light on the inside with chocolate mousse, filling, and chocolate sponge inside. It was really good and not too overly sweet. I actually can really go for one right now as I'm writing this review.

I'm a fan of this place and I definitely will come back and try more of their pastries. The prices are very reasonable and it's quality – very fresh and great presentation. Definitely check this place out.

  6. Love, love, love!!! omg this place is amazing!!! The creme brûlée was the best I ever had. The staff are super friendly and helpful and just overall pleasant. So so happy we found this place, will definitely be back!!!

  7. Would move to Ridgewood just to be closer to this place.  Hands down the best bakery in the area.

Almost everything is incredible here, and even the few menu items that aren't are still of much higher quality than items anywhere else.  This place has a tendency to be packed, so I try to come by on off hours.  My favorite pastry here is the almond croissant, which I can eat all day.  The sweet crepes are excellent as well, but you should try some of the savory crepes as well.  My favorite is the French Pie.  There are a bunch of little tables inside and outside, but probably isn't the best place to come to with a huge group.

  8. So I was a bit salty about this place when I first went a few years ago but it has since grown on me. I just assumed it was another overpriced pastry shop but they have proven to be a worthwhile stop.

Pros: Delicious pastry. Like really really delicious. Oh and super beautiful to look at. Try the apricot tart. Great bubble tea. I've had the Thai flavor. Great design and food is served on real plates with real silverware. Gives it a less casual feel.

Cons: Ridgewood parking. Pretty high prices but I am willing to pay them because the items are unique. I've only tasted one thing that I wasn't thrilled with here and it was the key lime tart. Clean up always seems a bit lazy here. Tables usually appear to need some cleaning later in the evening.
