  1. Nicely furnished pub in downtown pw, we stopped in here for dinner around 6 pm on a Sunday. We were in the mood for a quick meal of burgers, wings, and beers, and grabbed a table in the side dining area. I would've preferred to sit in the bar area, which has a long bar with high top tables, as well as several flat screen tvs, but I got outvoted by my older compadres who wanted to sit in a boring booth with no view of anything. At first, the waitress came right over and asked us to put in drinks or apps, but we needed a minute. She returned a few minutes later, and we put in beers and wings. They have a great beer selection both by the bottle and on tap (Sam seasonal, bells, founders, etc). Beers and wings took forever to come out, but all were good.

Bread basket was great too, had rolls, cornbread, flat cracker like things, with good butter too. We ordered a steak sandwich, burger, and two turkey burgers. There was no one in this place, and the food took forever to come out. I had two and a half beers at about a twenty minute pace before our entrees arrived. My steak sandwich was pretty good, although I should've had it cooked more well done. Ordered medium rare, and it was tough to eat without taking out the whole large piece of steak in one bite. Fries were good and bun was great, taste of food was really good all around, everyone liked their meals. However, I wouldn't recommend coming here for a quick dinner, learned this the hard way.

The decor is dark but nice, and there's a ton of seating. No outside seating, but a great place to sit in the bar area or at the bar and catch a game. Compared to the other pubs we drove by in town this one looked much nicer. Menu is relatively small, burgers, sandwiches, salads and a few specialties. Wines by the bottle and glass seemed to be a decent selection, and drink selection seemed nice too, decent amount of specialty martinis. Waitress was fine, kind of blah, not really that nice and not super attentive either.

  2. Restaurant / Pub.

This is a great little gem of a place located as you come into Port Washington from the South.  Huge bar with plenty of seating and some tables along the barroom side.  The bar is separated from the main dining room – overall it is much bigger inside than it would appear from the street.

Bartenders are adequate and there is the usual offering of pub grub.

Atmosphere is perfect- a lot of dark wood and low lighting levels put you in the mood to sit back and slug down a few cold ones.  The crowd is pretty well spread out in age and they are always hopping later in the evening.

    A good place to hit.

    Parking on the street.

  3. I want to love this place based on the beautiful ambiance and quirky Irish bartender, but I just don't. This is somewhere coworkers and I frequented for lunch at one point but just stopped feeling the food. The service is really lacking especially during a two table lunch rush. I don't mean to be sarcastic, but I could drive 45 minutes home and make myself a sandwich faster than they take our order and bring it out. I can see frequenting this place for drinks and a good time, but not so much for food. The food we have had has been just okay. They do offer lunch specials though, that have at times been decent and are priced well. I guess you will have to try it out for yourself.

  4. Great food…great service… great atmosphere.

Sullivan's offers a very diverse menu (from land to sea). I went there with a large group and was able to try a few things- everything delicious.  The portion sizes are ample but also save room for dessert b/c the smores and the apple tart desserts are a must.

    Service was great and friendly.
