I was so surprised to find this Japanese/Thai spot here in Brooklyn and so close to home too. A co-worker took me out of my comfort zone of having my home made lunches everyday and introduced me along with a few other co-workers to this place. The food is nicely priced and you get a good deal of food as well. I had sushi and that guaranteed me coming back here just based on the sushi alone. I look forward to trying a bento when I go back.
You're just in luck because this place actually offers Japanese AND Thai food! Considering it's the only place to get sushi in a neighborhood over-saturated with jerk chicken joints (FYI, not necessarily a negative but wish there were more options), it's not too bad. I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon, my boyfriend ordered the Pad See Mao, and we both split a Crown High Roll. Overall, the food is ok and good if you're itchin for some non-Chinese take-out Asian food but it's not much more than the neighborhood sushi restaurant.
The place is empty and old looking. And upgrade is due.
I enjoyed my rolls and that's about it. The fried rice tasted like stale fried rice. I didn't taste much chicken or shrimp. I did however enjoy the spicy ingredients they used on the rice. I wish the rice was a little more fresh and I could see the chicken and shrimp. They are stingy with the meat and I paid 16 bucks for that meal. I'm not cheap so I like my food to be worth it!
If you don't look around you won't see the Japanese menu and she won't mention it either. She will show you sushi. Last time eating here. Thanks for your service.
This is usually my go-to sushi delivery place. It's nothing amazing, but it is fresh and delivery is fast. I've never been inside but it looks clean and last time I passed by it had an A health grade. I stick to the basics here – miso soup, standard rolls (I like Maki and hand rolls) and sashimi, sometimes Gyoza or Shumai. The sashimi has always been surprisingly good, especially the salmon. Does the trick when you just need sushi delivered to your face. I don't veer from Japanese food here though I see they now serve Thai dishes as well.
I've recently tried their thai section. The Massaman curry came out a little watery but with a load of fresh veggies (bell peppers, red onions, carrot) not so much potato (which I like) . The ratio of veggie to rice was kinda astonishing coming from a place like this. My husband had the Chicken brocoli, which came with a large portion of veggies but in a better sauce than in mine.
Overall it's not the best, but I appreciated oudishes because they felt healthy.
Not so bad for a place still taking orders at 10pm on a Sunday night.
A rather run of the mill city sushi joint. Stick with the basic rolls here and it's rare you'll be disappointed. The delivery is usually fairly fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable, especially for the lunch specials. Things are solidly good at Sushi Tatsu, not going to blow your mind, but good for quick and easy sushi. Favorites include the spicy tuna and sweet potato tempura rolls.
AKA Tatsu Time, I have a feeling this place stays open because it's the only Japanese food around unless you go to Prospect Heights or down to Church Av. They seem to do much more delivery than eat-in.
The vegetarian sushi was solid: 6-piece roll with enough filling and sesame seeds on the outside. Entree was… lacking. I ordered oyako don, which is supposed to be chicken over rice and vegetables with generous sake sauce. What they gave me looked and tasted more like chicken katsu: fried chicken with rice and 2 tiny pieces of carrot and onion. Very dry.
Service was attentive and friendly, so I'll be back if someone visiting me insists on Japanese. Otherwise, I'll take the train elsewhere.

I recently tried their chirashi, which is a compilation of sushi rice, 5 different raw fish (salmon, tuna, etc), and other goodies. It's pretty decent and fresh, but a little on the pricey side.
Their sushi rolls are not bad. I've ordered random rolls and have been pleased every single time. They have really good lunch specials where you can get several rolls for a good deal!
As for their thai food, I would recommend to avoid at all costs. I tried their pad see ew the other day, and it's probably the worst I've ever had. The noodles were stuck together, dry, and flavorless. It was pretty much unpalatable. Their pineapple fried rice was also a major disappointment… sad and bland.
Delivery is fast, friendly, and consistent. Usually get my food within half an hour.
