  1. Love getting lunch here.
My favorites are salmon&brie sandwich, turkey swiss, and sometimes tuna sandwich.

For salad i love the chicken salad.
And all the soup i tried so far was delicious.
Good combination, half soup/salad or soup/sandwich or salad/sandwich.
delicious chai latte! What's not to like?

  2. Popular little spot. Generally busy during the day and difficult for me to find seats the couple of times I went. They have lunch options, paninis I believe, and they aren't bad. They make freshly baked cookies for their cookie jar which makes the place smell incredible. It's a mixed bag with the staff though. I've met a few friendly faces and a couple that were quick and curt and barely acknowledged the eye contact or conversation I tried to make. If you're in the area though, it's at least worth checking out and deciding for yourself.

  3. I was at an event next door at the Altman building and stopped in here on a break for a cappuccino and a macaron. Both were excellent! The staff is very friendly here.

I asked for one macaron and was accidentally charged for two. I said – no problem just give me two – he gave me three! They are delicious, although extra sweet so you probably just need one.

It's a pretty small cafe that doesn't have a lot of seating, so I may consider just stopping in on your way somewhere else.

  4. One of my favorite cafes in the city.

The staff are always friendly, particularly the nice French lady (owner? manager?) who brings out the sandwiches.

The avocado and egg salad on croissant is fantastic. Round it out with a rugelach and a large coffee and you have my perfect Telegraphe breakfast.

  5. Interesting find definitely just walking on the streets of NY. We were heading down to Bluestone coffee and just happen to see the sign for a cafe. Since none of us have tried this new place, it was inevitable. We wanted a place with seating and good coffee and there it was. 2 lattes, 1 moccachino, 1 capuccino and 30 minutes of cheek bone hurting laughters, we were out of there with happy tummy and memories.

It's small but has window bar stools and enough seating for about 12 people roughly. The drinks are extra hot so becareful not to drink them right away. We did not try the food but there were many who came there to eat simple and casual brunch.  It's kid friendly since it has sit down tables.

  6. You know what Chelsea has!? Everything you could want in a big city! Best buy! Modell's! Bed Bath & Beyond! Like 6 Chipotles! TRADER JOE'S!!!

You know what it really doesn't have too much of? Awesome, decently priced sandwiches. Well, that's what makes Telegraphe Cafe as revolutionary as the invention it was named after. For under $10, you're getting an amazing sandwich, in a nice location, with great coffee and free wifi.

Also, I've come here three times and almost a fourth (shout out blizzard '16), and gotten something different every time…and they've all been five stars. No misses so far. Great place, love to have it right there. Recommend the chicken with avocado and paprika mayo and gouda, and the salmon and brie sandwich. Also another turkey sandwich is great…but I my hands are too busy eating usually to take notes or pictures of what I'm eating, and isn't that everything you need to know?

  7. Great small cafe that has delicious breakfast sandwiches for cheap! I came in on the weekend and got a egg, prosciutto and cheese sandwich on a wheat baguette and fresh squeezed Oj (pretty large size) for under $10! The sandwich was very good and filling and wasn't greasy at all like most breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend this cafe for a quick bite to eat.

  8. I enjoy reading at Telegraphe Café– its staff workers have consistently interacted with me in welcoming, cheerful ways, their food is fresh and high quality.

I like to order their yogurt parfaits whenever I visit. Telegraphe Cafe uses thick, fresh greek yogurt and honey in these parfaits and fruit that's ripe and fresh, which makes for a healthy mid-day snack that isn't overwhelmingly sweet.

This place has been packed the several times I've been here: the tables are usually taken, so I like to claim a stool seat near the windows.

The café's bathroom configuration is a little weird: you need to walk through a storage room with several faucets and crates to get to the toilet, which has fluorescent lighting. I'm not a fan of fluorescent lighting.

This spot is otherwise solid if you're on the go and hungry, or if you want a place to sit, read, and think.
