“He recommended 'hair trigger' and it was the best cocktail I've had in my live!!”

  1. Okay so was thrilled to be staying here also got reservations at the hotel restaurant as well. Made reservations thru Tablet Hotels and got a great rate but probably because weather so cold.
Room had King and no tub. I adore tub and also have same one installed at my home.
Room had original hardwoods and you had to step down into room from hallway and door. Pretty spacious room. Bathroom also quite large and decorated exquisitely.
Toiletries sustainable and nice clean everything. Towels beautiful and lots of them.
View wasn't anything to scream about but didn't care. Bed comfy and turndown service nice.

  2. Finally came here on Saturday after brunch and loved it!! The space is gorgeous, peaceful, and relaxing, at least until it got busy. We arrived around 1:15 pm and there were only a few other people there, mostly people by themselves who were reading or working on their laptops, and one other couple. However, it started getting busy around 2 or 2:15 and it was full by the time we left at 2:30. The chairs are comfy, the books are beautiful, and the space is designed beautifully. It's off a bit from the bar so it's quieter. The hostess/waitress was friendly and quick at first, but as soon as she got busy, we had to flag her down to get our bill and then give it back to her. I hope they have someone else working when it gets busy! It was just her and one other person serving by the time we left. The library could use with a bit more light if you're actually trying to read, but other than that, I really loved it all. They had a great selection of books, all curated and organized wonderfully. The menu has a little map of the shelves.

Of course, everything is pretty expensive, with our cocktails costing $16 each, and a small plate of cheesecake and biscotti also being $16. They other cocktails that were maybe $1 or $2 cheaper, and tea for $7. They have coffee as well. Totally worth it for a fun afternoon though.

This is the perfect place if you're feeling fancy but you're coming from brunch or running errands after. There was a girl in workout clothes working on her laptop, as well as a couple meeting with someone who looked like a wedding planner. It might be dressier at night though. Also loved that even when it got busy, it wasn't too loud.

While you're there, take some time to look around the lobby, the restaurant, the bar, and the restrooms. It's all beautiful and fancy. The restaurant's ceiling is all glass and offers a cool view of the hotel above.

Also be aware that they are only open to hotel guests starting at 4 pm.

  3. I randomly discovered this lounge on a business trip. The NoMad Library has a sexy, hip vibe.

The library (room full of books) is off-limits unless you're staying at the hotel. But walk by and take a whiff of that good old book smell.

To find the restroom, you must go through the hotel lobby, down a Super Mario warp pipe, where you will encounter an Orc, bribe him, then go through the double doors, defeat Bowser and descend down a spiraling staircase.

  4. One of the parks about staying at the NoMad is the ability to hang out at the NoMad library. The room has tall bookshelves, and is intimate and warm and makes you feel as though you are in a friend's library somewhere in the English countryside. The space is very private and feels exclusive. It's a fantastic spot to meet a few friends for drinks. It's not too loud so it's easy to have great conversation over a couple of libations.

The drink menu is extensive and the cocktails are absolutely divine. They also offer a small food menu. Be sure to order the NoMad chocolate bar and the ice cream sundae called "cookies and cream" was very memorable as well.

The space does get full especially on evenings during the weekends so best to come early if you want a good spot. Be aware, service can be hit or miss and prices are high.

  5. OMG, the bartenders here make the BEST drinks in town! Folks, if you are around YOU should definitely stop by. The cocktails are perfectly made by professional bartenders. The menu is vast and they offer everything you can ask for.

We came in with hopes of getting into the "library bar" but we learned that that area closes up for guests of the hotel at 4pm. However, that did not stop us from staying since the decoration and ambience of the main bar is simply amazing. The waitress treats you like if you were the only customer. She helped me decide which drink was best for me (because I am not a cocktail person!) and we found the perfect drink for me called "Nod for Nothing"

At 5pm they opened a bar next door (you can get to it through the inside) and they actually have some tables and a food menu. The menus overlap but they offer more things here. If you are around the area you should definitely stop by!

  6. We thought it was a little pricey but it turned out to be an affordable, VERY CLEAN and very attentive staffed hotel.

All of my shower head broke the first night and when I told the staff about the next day it was fixed within an hour.

Food at the restaurant in the hotel soon delicious staff was professional and not smothering attention.

The Wi-Fi was very strong usual for a hotel the A/C was ice cold and we had a great time.

  7. While the room itself was quirky, modern and cool, I didn't find the staff to be overly friendly. The lady at the front desk was helpful, but cold. Plus she could not accommodate a king sized room, but we managed fine with two doubles. And the doormen could give a shit if you die on the street. I don't think they opened the door for me once. And, I am unfamiliar with the exact job of a doorman, but I'm pretty sure it involves opening the door for hotel guests. Maybe I'm wrong.

The bar was crowded and loud. But the decor is so dark you can barely see where you're going. I don't think I'd stay here again. It was fine, but far from a favorite.

  8. The setting is nice enough, but it can be super-crowded. Service was nice and quick, and I enjoyed my drink and snacks.
